I just like to hate shit

 

Really not liking DMC5 as much as I was hoping to. Really hate playing as V

 

Yeah but like none of those were as mainstream compatible and attractive as “play GTA6 and Madden 2021 without having to buy expensive hardware”

 

Gonna hop back into WoW for the weekend since they are doing a free weekend until the 24th

 

true but even speculating those titles’ availability assumes a lot about the service’s trajectory that is going to need a ton of proving before devs/publishers are going to jump aboard and risk the $60 sales that have not steered them wrong before

 

Yeah, but of course Google can sweeten the deal, and apparently there's a lot of cool stuff about this from the developer side (including stuff that makes development cheaper). We'll see.

 

hyped for sekiro. my goal is to at least make it past the first boss

anyways I never find enjoyment in the speculation of the future of consoles/gaming in general. I'll see what happens and go from there. For now I'll keep playing the Division 2 and continue starting multiple JRPGs and never finishing them

 

I think Stadia is a bit more tangible than Glass was but even if it doesn't take off, it's still cool to see what will eventually be a part of the future.

 

I'd be interested to see how it changes school labs, work environments, coffee houses, etc.

The first two I suppose you can easily block the Stadia domain, assuming that's how you log in and play. But imagine going to Starbucks or other public WiFi places advertising faster speeds so you can simply log in and play? That'd be awesome. Bring back that arcade vibe.

Sekiro (and seeing Us) will be my weekend. everything I’ve read and seen of that game is getting me so excited for tomorrow. I like that it’s a departure from the typical Souls game.

 

Im gonna be petting my new cat and playing BOTW all weekend, pretty excited

 

especially since you can't pet in BOTW at all

also my SO just got to the highs of Nier Automata. spoilers obviously her nonreaction to everything caught me off guard especially the closing of 2B's arc, but when I asked her about it later she seemed disturbed by it too lol. Especially when the Nier: Automata title screen shows up after that scene. I told her jokingly, "Congrats you finished the prologue"

 

Sekiro and Us in the same weekend is too much hype for me. I may not last the night. Although it helps that I'm not seeing Us until Saturday so they're not both on the same day for me lol

 

i will also be seeing Us but not playing Sekiro because i am spending my game money on Yoshi next week and have never played a Souls game haha. i have Dark Souls III and Bloodborne and have been meaning to jump in for like 40 years. i understand Sekiro isn’t a Souls game but it seems adjacent enough that i should try the games i have to see if i would like it first, but it looks very cool!

 

Hm the one thing kinda turning me off from Sekiro is that it looks like you get punished pretty bad from dying? Idk I could be overanalyzing it. I don't mind dying alot if a game is real hard but if im gonna be losing stuff im gonna go insane.

If you want to train yourself for Sekiro, the closest Souls game would be Bloodborne. But DS3 and Bloodborne are the easiest and second-easiest games in series, respectively, so they're both good places to start. Although Dark Souls 3 changed the combat around a bit from the first two and made it a bit faster so it might be more jarring to go back and play DS1 and DS2 after it.

Basically what I'm trying to say is play Bloodborne goddammit it's one of the greatest games of all time.
