After listening to Scarlxrd this morning I think trap metal makes me feel just as out of touch with the kids as emo rap

Dude playing MGS2 as a kid is one of my favorite gaming experiences of all time, what a fucking story that game has. I need to play the other Metal Gears someday, I can't believe I havent.

 

Is that like Nu Metal but inspired by 2 Chainz instead of Wu-Tang?

 

It's basically just yelling over trap beats. It's basically nothing like metal, people just call it trap metal for some reason.

Same, MGS1 and 2 were defining games for me for their respective consoles, both just incredible. I've literally been watching MGS2 cutscenes & codec conversations on YouTube recently and it's crazy how relevant what they discuss at the end (about controlling the flow of information, fake news etc.) is to the world today, and the game came out what, 20 years ago?

 

Damn I need to check those videos out, I remember the codec conversations at the end of 2 blowing my mind I just can't remember the context because it was so long ago!

 

If anyone in corporate Japans thinks Metal Gear games were written by straight edge people then they need help

Seems like this article confirms 2d mode can be played at ANY time. I can't believe i'm gonna put 80 hours into dragon quest again, but I fucking am, without a doubt. I never finished the post game anyways so this time I will.

It looks like there will be a good amount of new content too now, plus your party follows you on the world map on 3d mode too. NICE.

 

I just want to marry Sylvando tbh (I think you can marry any of the playable characters, not 100% on that)

 

Yeah the end of MGS2 feels like it was written in 2016 lol

New ps4 controller theme. Looks pretty damn sleek.

 

I only buy like 2 games a year anymore but I'm getting Sekiro day one I think. I'm a sucker for FromSoft games.... even if I can rarely beat them

 

That controller is alright, but it's the strangest shade of pink I've seen.

I think the white on green makes it look cartoonish. Although, I do like the shade of green.
