Having students in my guitar lessons asking me to teach them Ninja's Fortnite Rap Battles has put me off ever wanting to try that game.

YouTube is my 00s rap videos software and I guess I have Twitch but that shit is so fucking weird and I can’t figure out how to link my EA account (if I have one, also trying to figure that out lol)

That’s what I was concerned about. I loved a lot about Bloodborne, but there was also a great deal that frustrated me. I’ll have a mooch when it’s out! And if they implement that backwards-ass multiplayer system again I’ll weep. I tried to play with friends on Bloodborne twice before I resigned to defeat.

My mate messaged me a vid of a Fortnite dance in the Spyro remastered trilogy. I’m not a Spyro fan as it is - that didn’t help its case.

I’d guess that kind of MP system is staying, I feel like it’s a thing the community actively wants now lol I played a lot DS2 competitively and it was part of the experience haha

The whole ringing that bell thing and then having to scour a load of ghosts in the hope your buddy shows up? Then repeat the process as many times as you die? Or was the DS one different? I never actually played DS.

This is music to my ears. I’m a perfectionist when it comes to games. Whenever one of my friends comes bounding into my worlds like an oversized puppy I die a little inside.

Wait that was already a NNEC reference?

What a stupid post I made.

No no, I think I misinterpreted it? Your post still earns a nod of respect from moi. Any NNEC reference is a good one.

Comes as no surprise paha. A party system would’ve been fantastic for Bloodborne. I guess they just couldn’t think of lore for that ha.

Bloodborne is my favorite game of all time I’m having a hard time getting excited for Sekiro for some reason. The setting is not that well executed and in general the gameplay doesn’t look appealing to me. I hope I change my mind.

I still actually haven’t finished Bloodborne. I started playing it alongside a guide, then lost track of the guide and it felt overwhelming to the point where I just wasn’t progressing at all. Without that guide I wouldn’t have made it anywhere near as far as I did. I’m probably close to the end too, but I’m so busy lately I just haven’t gone back to it yet. Damn do I love the gothic vibes throughout. Excellent setting and brilliant monsters. Loved the atmosphere.

Sekiro I didn’t even know existed til a few days ago. I thought their next game was going to be Bloodborne 2! It looks interesting but I’m not wholly sold either.

I’d argue playing with a guide is detrimental to the experience. Being lost and having to explore is as much part of it as getting fucking owned haha

Very true, which is why I’m annoyed I did it in the first place. I was so dependent on the guide that I felt like I couldn’t go back to it without! That’s partly why I’m considering buying Sekiro actually - there won’t be any guide to lean on for a while. My friends gave me so much shit for playing with a guide.

Playing a from software game right when it releases is truly magical. Like the community coming together to work it out. It’s a lot of fun (but also very frustrating sometimes haha)

Sekiro seems to have more exploration mechanics (like eavesdropping) so you can actually get clues and hints within the game though, so that does sound exciting to me. Also you can die twice haha

Sekiro looks really cool when I stop comparing it Soulsborne games

Okay so that actually sounds really interesting and negates one of my main qualms with Bloodborne - knowing what the eff to do. And dying twice hahaha. Despite the title, I didn’t think about that!

I'm not, I'm comparing it to other games that the setting itself a lot better and more interesting haha. Hell even the early levels in Nioh looked more atmospheric to me than Sekiro does. Not to mention Ghost of Tsushima.

yeah man, we're all in together in this craziness, it's going to be really cool and I'm sort of hyping myself up now.

It’s funny because I love DS1 and DS2 with all my heart, had no real interest in Bloodborne and was crushingly dissapointed by DS3. Now Bloodborne fans are sceptcial about the new game. It’s weird because in reality they’re all so similar lol

It's the lack of RPG elements that make me a bit skeptical of Sekiro. I'm still going to play it of course, and probably end up loving it.

I'm here for all 3 samurai games coming out this year lol

I'm guessing, and hoping, that there's a lot more to the game than they've shown. I think there's going to be some weird areas and enemies later in the game.

I'm a little worried about the gameplay being so stealth based since I suck at stealth. If it feels anywhere near as good as Bloodborne though it'll be worth dealing with the stealth. I'm actually excited for the jumping/grappling aspects.
