also hell yeah i've played the shit out of symphony over the years but i've never played Rondo so I'm stoked about that news too

I don't think I've posted this before but if anyone is the least bit interested in picking up a new card game, Magic the Gathering Arena - available on PC only for now - will be in open beta tomorrow (aka early access). It's going to be production environment, so whatever cards you get during this you will get to keep when it officially releases.

They've released MTG games digitally before but MTG Arena is the best one so far by a large margin - the UI/UX, the rules engine, even the deck builder is great. I was very active during the closed beta, and was really impressed by how much it has improved since Day 1. As someone who plays a lot of TCGs (Faeria, Hex, Soulforge, Eternal, HS, Stormbound, Shadowverse, Duelyst to name some) I highly highly recommend it.

Magic is one of my favorite games ever, and I feel like this is a great jumping point if you want to check it out. Just throwing that out there!

 

I don't know if I mentioned this but my friend works at Dave and Busters. His manager is super cool so he let us use his managers card for unlimited games and stuff.

We got to try the Jurassic Park VR "coaster/game" and like that was so awesome. I am now understanding the VR hype.

Holy shit guys, Life is Strange 2 is incredible, go play it

 

I only finished the first two chapters of the first game. I want to play it all, but there's just way too many games out right now.

 

I bought the Arkham collection so maybe ill play that eventually

 

Just beat Mother 3 in less than a week. Fantastic from start to end.

 

I started Phantom Hourglass on the DS yesterday (I know, I'm a little late). I'm very annoyed by how much I have to use the stylus.

 

You're going to HATE Spirit Tracks then.

 

Forza Horizon 4 plays and looks great. I also love several vehicles that are either new to the series or are making a comeback, just a shame that the barn finds were already revealed when the car list was announced.

 

wasn't a big fan of phantom hourglass or spirit tracks, but a link between worlds is fantastic.

 

I ADORED the concept of Spirit Tracks, finally being able to control Zelda and use her in a really interesting way narratively and mechanically, but the way they implemented it really bummed me out. It sucks that potentially great games are trapped because of gimmicks.

 

My biggest problem with Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks was that they kept making you go back to that central dungeon and do a few more floors of it every time. Just didn’t like that gameplay design at all.

 

The backtracking was awful as well as that stupid fucking map puzzle where you had to close the DS to transfer the answer

 

Wasn't too into AC Odyssey but some of newer videos I have seen seem pretty rad.
