Yeah I mean that Telltale thing sucks for the people involved but it was pretty obvious that was going to happen at some point

Lol I was so happy when they said this was the final season of the walking dead because I'm so attached to Clementine and I wanted to see how her story ended. This is insane.

 

Man, it’s honestly a shame that Clementine’s story will not get an ending.

 

Yeah, they flew too close to the sun with the various licensed titles and an unwillingness to adapt and evolve, especially holding on to that terrible engine.

 

Damn. 1st season of TWD is still one of my favorite things I ever played

 

The writing was on the wall for a while for this company and it's a damn shame. Not because I actually care about the company itself, which is said to have a lot of problems with the way money was handled and employees were treated, but because all the hard working people there created really wonderful and unique stories and art. It sucks that they can't finish what they started and also lost their jobs in the process.

I've seen a lot of companies and people in the industry telling Telltale employees that their doors are open and they'll do what they can to get them jobs. It's nice to see the industry take care of their own once in a while.

 

Blizzard is always excellent at directing available openings to people when a studio shuts down. Glad to see a ton of other studios doing the same today.

That team was extremely talented and I hope they end up somewhere really great.

 

I cannot fathom the amount of mismanagement for TellTale to shudder after never having a game flop...

 

Supposedly, the Batman games were a big flop for the company.

 

decided to play human fall flat as a little relaxer game while I finish up Spiderman on PS4. It is fun.

 

Telltale is the story of having way too many projects going on at once and never properly marketing them as well. They were overworked as well. Just terribly mismanaged.

 

They probably ended up paying a lot for expensive licenses and the resultant games underperformed.

 

The Game of Thrones game was very disappointing

 

Wait so is the stuff about TWD not being finished confirmed or is it still just rumors?

 

Every game has been cancelled except the Minecraft thing they’re making for Netflix (or whatever that deal exactly looks like). From what I can tell it currently looks like that Telltale will be completely done after shipping that.

 

The statement said that many of their games actually didn’t sell as required, i.e. they “flopped”.
