Was just thinking about games that I've played so far this year from this year that I've enjoyed since we're approaching mid-year and all us people on this site love lists

Resident Evil 3 Remake
Nioh 2
Xenoblade Chronicles Remake
Animal Crossing
Rune Factory 4 Special
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore

Two big things are obvious to me here.
1. so many of these are remakes/re-releases.
2. Literally one of these games is on Xbox One lol.

Sums up why I've had zero interest in Xbox this gen.

 

Christ. The Bloodborne DLC is so scary now? The research hall with all the...infected?? mental patients with massive bloated heads? Screaming and surrounding you? Fuck me it’s made me jump so many times. They have a pack mentality and it’s refreshing. Loving this part.

Also love the dungeons. Never bothered with them, now I’m breeding through them whenever I’m bored or frustrated with the main game. Presumably I should’ve done them at lower levels cos the first three dungeons were daft easy

 

The intro to Horizon is so long. Jesus.

 

You know I love all the recent From Software games but Bloodborne is literally perfect for all of these reasons. The chills I got from playinng that game are still unmatched

Ryan Bloodborne is Technically a JRPG

 

If there is another JRPG even remotely close to having the same atmosphere, horror and combat then I might be convinced to have a slight interest in any other lol

... and I wasn’t vibing with the enemies and kinda slow clunky movement. I love Bloodborne because it’s such a brilliant blend of all the horror genres I like. DS is more medieval fantasy. Which is fine. It just isn’t my thing. I’m super excited about Demon‘s Souls but again, the moment I saw the giant armoured knight with the enormous shield I kinda switched off.

Why do you say that? Maybe the exclusivity deal is still in place for non-PC platforms. That happen sometimes.

 

JESUS CHRIST JUST BE FUCKING GRATEFUL.

I mean, to be honest, the Vita is still the best way to play it.

 

I can't see myself playing a game like that on anything else but a handheld anymore I think
