Monopolies are indeed bad but so is de facto price fixing which is what has been happening

 

The lack of a new main entry Splinter Cell game makes me sad.

 

I'm not saying Microsoft would take 100% of Sony's market share, that'll never happen because Japan, but regardless its still considered unhealthy market behaviour and is looked down upon greatly by economists

 

I'm kind of not sure how much Microsoft's ability to take a huge loss on the price will really sway people at this point, though. Microsoft had all the momentum going into last month, with Sony dragging their feet interminably, but they completely bungled the first impression with that awful, disastrous presentation. And first impressions are super important.

They never should have led with random third-party teasers to show off the Series X, should have done a mix of first- and third-party like Sony did. Now all eyes are on their presentation in JULY of first-party software. By that point, Sony will have built up a good head of steam off the back of this presentation. Gonna be hard for them to make up for that blunder.

 

I know, I have an economics degree lol But like I said de facto price fixing is also bad. In general there isn’t enough competition in this industry though.

It was worse during the Xbox/PS2/GCN era though, they were all the same

I'm not sure I ever knew Dustin existed before the last couple of pages but he's had me blocked for a while? I would say to tell him to point out which post led to him blocking me but the list of candidates is probably too large to sift through.

 

I just went down the blink thread one time and blocked anyone that was a matt Skiba apologist. That's the majority of my block list lol.

I just remembered there are not one but multiple furry games from yesterday’s reveal

 

I think I might start TLOU today. Haven't played it since it came out originally. Maybe it was just overhyped for me and didn't hit right with me. We'll see
