so tonight was kinda cool. i have always dipped my toes into fighting games and failed miserably. but i booted up DB Fighterz for the first time in ages to have something dialogue-free to play around with while i listened to a podcast, and in training mode i dug around in menus and found an option to display a virtual controller on the screen that visualized my inputs. i like never was sure if i was doing so much as a half step correctly and now im able to see exactly how my inputs translate into the game and ive made more progress in an hour than in my entire life of playing fighting games casually up until this point lol.

basically see yall at Evo im gonna be the champion

 

forgot who it was but reminds me of the poster here who did 1 match online in a fighting game and won and never did again so he can be undefeated forever

the yakuza remastered collection had a glitch error at Best Buy for $20 and I’m sad I missed it because that’s all I need left to own every yakuza console game

I just gotta say the last mission in thug2 is a fantastic mission and I spent so much time doing it

I don’t like Project 8. I want to and I tried, but it never clicked with me. It plays well though still. Proving Ground sucks.

 

THAW was the last one that was halfway decent, and even that one was a step down from THUG and THUG2

 

beat TLoU last night, hell of an ending. you all weren’t wrong, one of the most gripping stories I’ve played through and I’m glad nothing was spoiled for me. going to play the DLC it came with later and patiently wait for TLoU2 with ya’ll. sorry it was 7 years for some of you lol

Ratchet and Clank is probably next in my PS4 quarantine ‘hits’ binge. maybe Bloodborne after that if I’m feeling up for it. or Horizon.

 

Man all this skateboarding talk has me going donw rabbit holes on youtube and wishing there was a new skate.

I'm excited. I never owned a PS but loved playing what little bit of Ratchet and Clank I would play at my friends on PS2. very much looking forward to playing a game with a lighter tone to it lol and NOT one that centers around a deadly virus outbreak...

 

I’m fine with that tbh.

I just ignore the boring shit like completing the copy/paste locations.

 

An Underground remake would be cool. Underground 2 on the other hand is too cringey to remake. Lol.

 

The only thing that I'm concerned about is how they're changing the loot game and RPG mechanics. I really like that direction for the series and it seems like they're scaling some of it back in Valhalla. I want to know how it's all going to work.

 

Probably all in on “gear level” so prob still basically levels without “numbers” above people’s heads. We’ll see soon enough.
