New TLOU2 trailer tomorrow so I’m avoiding the comment section like the plague because gamers are the fucking worst

If you’re worried about TLOU2 spoilers I would avoid literally every twitch/YouTube chat and pretty much every gaming-related comments section. People are posting them literally everywhere apparently. Haven’t seen them yet myself but I figure it’s only a matter of time.

Thought I was at or near the end of Death Stranding because I just killed Higgs but nope we're still going. I gotta say this is right up there with MGS 3 as my favorite Kojima game. Boss fight spoiler: when it switched to a hand to hand fight and the two Tekken style health bars I was just flabbergasted. What a wild ass decision. But I loved it.

Honestly I might even just avoid the trailer. I saw a comment on the Twitter announcement for the trailer and whilst it could be bs I don’t know whether someone spoiled something for me. I really don’t get why people have to be twats

Why would it be Crash and Spyro? Is it 2005? I know they released those remasters but I still think this is a stretch.

Given all the rumors, one of them might be Tony Hawk though.

Alternative solution for those of you that are afraid of spoilers:

Spoiler alert: spoilers make you enjoy stories more

“According to research by UC San Diego psychology professor Nicholas Christenfeld, spoilers don’t ruin a story: They make you enjoy it even more.”

I’m not even going to open that because that concept is straight-up the dumbest thing I’ve heard this week

If only it were based on research an published by an academic institution. Oh, wait.

lmao they can study all they want, they’re called spoilers because the vast majority of people feel that their experience of the media/fiction/whatever is spoiled as a result of knowing something they were meant to discover themselves. How bored do you have to be to try and prove that wrong lol?

Because it might actually be wrong? Mass delusions are a thing. Not saying that is necessarily the case with spoilers, but apparently it might very well be.

Anger and despair about spoilers have definitely grown in the last 10 to 15 years, so it’s worth taking a look at.

Come on lol. Just because an academic institution researched this doesn’t make it fact or something. It’s an entirely subjective topic. It isn’t something you even can prove wrong. I said it was a daft concept to ME personally. The notion that I’m going to stumble on TLOU2 spoilers and somehow enjoy the game more is absurd.

oh my god, I'm back on my bullshit Prestigious

I remember seeing someone justify people who post spoilers for TV shows the minute after they air, by saying that avoiding them gives them a thrill and that makes them enjoy the show more lol

I don’t know what to tell you, if you would read the article you will see that it’s obviously not absurd, although certainly not a given
