just got back from the vape convention I saw you but didn’t say hi

You know those times when you think about and miss how excited new video games made you when you were a kid then you realise that really everything makes you excited when you're a child and really you just hate being an adult lol

 

hey I really liked TLOU and I’m also completely fair to it

 

remember I told you this would happen

phase 2 is you get bored after 20 minutes of a game

 

the most excited I’ve ever been for a new game to come out was when I was 14 waiting to play the SINGLEPLAYER OF HALO 2. it sucked! and the graphics were weak af - the downgrade was crazy after being teased for 2 or 3 years with goat graphics. remember that badass level from the e3 presentation? well it’s not in the fucking game bc fuck you! instead you get shit levels haha.

I was a cynical little shit after that

 

I'm excited about games frequently and have little to no cynicism

I'd always rather like something than not like something, if I don't like it I really want to like it

 

I still enjoy games obviously I just miss how excited 10 year old me got about them

 

Same same same.

Prob the only thing I get excited for anymore.

 

The first 10 minutes of Persona 5 absolutely made me feel exactly how I felt removing the shrink wrap to something anticipated as a 10 year old, buildup for other games recently have too of course. Idk I don't think that magic is gone

 

The day my Switch came in the mail was one of the best moments in my 5 years of sobriety

 

Same. Part of why I go on about that game so much. The magic isn't gone it's just rarer.

 

I just felt like it was never going to end

The play sections are just obnoxious to me because they take forever. I'm more annoyed than anything.

There's way more shooting and less puzzle solving than I expected/wanted.

I'm committed to finishing because I already started but it just feels like it's taking FOREVER

 

Im surprised. You may be the second person ever to not like that game lol.

 

They’re 100% gonna have SOMETHING first party.

 

I tried to think of the game I anticipated the most and I'm going to go with Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and evenif I'm wrong it was definitely a pokemon game anyway lol

Final Fantasy XV was mine and good god was it a brutal dagger

 

My expectations weren't high and I was still disappointed so I can imagine lol

 

Wait a second...

 

The best thing FFXV ended up doing was lead me to NieR: Automata

 

Y'all done gone and insulted some greatest games

Now imagine if N:A had FFXV's budget

 

Would either be amazing, or terrible because Yoko Taro and co. would spend all their time drinking and clubbing instead of making the game
