Nemesis system in the first one bored me to tears when they introduced the orc. By the fifth one I’m like “ok I don’t need to see this intro, don’t care”

 

It's still a really cool concept though, one that I wish would be improved upon by a dev team not under the thumb of WB lol

Stealth in FFVII is dumb or I’m dumb, probably the latter

 

2014 was a weird year for video games. The industry was in such a state of transition, the standards for what a great game were lowered quite bit. Shadow of Mordor is solid enough but it should have never been considered great. Dragon Age: Inquistion was acclaimed as well, but let's be real here. Just a few months later, The Witcher 3 ran circles around it. Titanfall was fun for about a month. Were there any truly great games released in 2014? Maybe Dark Souls 2? But, I didn't think that game was great until the Scholar of the First Sin edition was released in 2015.

Starting to think Sunset Overdrive was the real 2014 GOTY to be honest.

 

Got through Ravenholm in HL2.

DEAR LORD WAS THAT A CHORE.

Oof, Ravenholm is one of the best parts of that game lol. And you’re probably only halfway through. I’d maybe just stop now

 

DQ Inquisition’s combat is better than that of Witcher 3

Inquisition's combat feels smoother, but I ultimately had less fun with it.

It was straight up Survival Horror, which I don't usually mind, I just felt like it went on forever. Too many enemies at once for me too.

I hope so, it’s dumb when you have fuckin Barrett tryna be stealthy

 

i was gonna say that it probably is because the norm before was linear games had longer playtimes and we had more patience back then, but i just looked up Half Life 2 Average Time to Beat and it said 13 hours.

i swear it didn't feel like just 13 hours when i played it.
