Imagine if they did another Mordor sequel but it was even worse than War

 

Oh man I kinda forgot about those. Now I’m reconsidering my statement. My internal reasoning was “hey at least the story will be better because of the existing base” but those Mordor games sure proved that that doesn’t have to be the case lol

 

Impossible.

 

I remember playing Mordor and thinking of all the ways it could be improved in a sequel. Then War came out, they did none of those things and somehow made the game even more repetitive than Mordor lol

 

I loved Shadow of Mordor when it came out, but as the years have gone on I've looked back on that game more and more negatively. I'd say by now I've fully soured on it.

 

And I never played Shadow of War because I don't play gacha games

 

Yeah the hype was surreal. It was decent, but not much more.

 

I wanted Mordor to be great so badly. I don't think I properly realised how disappointed I was in it until I'd finished it lol

 

It definitely deserves praise for creating the Nemesis System, for sure, but outside of that it's just a bog-standard paint-by-numbers open world game that just happens to have the LOTR license.
