Monument Valley is fantastic. Have the 2nd but have yet to play it completely.

Have you played any of the Room games? Those are all great too and extremely my shit hahah

 

Actually I lie I played 5 minutes of symphony of the night on my phone a couple of months ago before I gave up and went back to hating phone games lol

 

Splatoon 2 is SO FUN

 

Well yeah don’t play stuff like that on a phone. A good phone game has nothing to do with a good console game. Also in 2020 they all cost money.

 

I also like the Lifeline games, or “Bury Me, My Love” which is a Lifeline clone about someone fleeing from Syria

Supergiant is great at doing that. Transistor’s UI (even its difficulty setting) is pretty stylized to fit the narrative.

 

Is HL2 a good game for someone who doesn't like/is terrible at FPS games?

 

Yes. Though Pyre moved a little too slowly for me. Needed more Fantasy NBA Jam and less rolling around lolol

PORTAL 2


At a lot of points you can just ignore Wheatley’s rants, and you can pretty much play the game just to solve the puzzles. The story is in the background dialogue and the environment.

 

It’s pretty easy.


Also just press up up down down left right left right b a for a health pack.

Yes, it’s an amazing game.

 

Yeah HL2 isn’t CoD, you’ll be fine

 

Every time Portal 2 gets mentioned in this thread I want to play it even less than before

 

From everything I've seen it definitely feels easier than most FPS games, and combat encounters aren't as frequent. I loved BioShock 1-2, still need to play Infinite.

For some reason I just feel compelled to play Half-Life 2

 

What games have the opposite effect?

 

Only one I can think of that actually had an effect on me was dragon age inquisition

 

That's what I'm thinking. I tried playing BF: Hardline because the story interested be alot and just couldn't get very far. Think I made it like maybe 2 missions or so haha

 

this happens in pretty much all the games so be prepared for that lol

 

Did you play The Surge 2? Heard that was good.

 

I haven't the first one has put me off so far even though I know the sequel is better lol. I'll play it at some point no doubt though

 

Yeah other than that I guess we’re just waiting for Elden Ring. I’m really craving that From magic right about now given that it’s been over a year since Sekiro.

 

I think I'm close to the point of replaying them lol

 

So the reason I didn't finish the first is the blocking mechanic was really obtuse and unexplained.

This one gives you a tool pretty much right away that makes that aspect of the game satisfying imo.
