What game should we play?

 

A Nintendo console getting PC exclusives is really not something i would have expected 4 years ago lol. Things changed so quickly

The game was very atmospheric similarly to the films so you'd probably enjoy it. Reminded me of like a mix between Layers of Fear and Firewatch.

 

every game I own on ps4 is single-player besides the obvious Fortnite and warzone stuff

Nah this ain’t it.
Grounded mode, trying to stealth past Clickers was bloody brilliant. Terrifying. Having swarms of infected run at you knowing all it took was one slip-up was nerve-racking for me. It might not have been groundbreaking new gameplay but to say it wasn’t entirely enjoyable is disingenuous in my eyes lmao. Might seem dated now - I wouldn’t know - but I also spent a fuckton of time on the MP for TLOU too, and that was super refreshing and had a unique feel. The survivor mechanic was interesting and the stealth gameplay in that was great fun.

 

It was clunky as hell and got pretty mundane and same-y pretty quickly. Just didn’t feel good to play. After a while I was doing my best to move as quickly as possible through the gameplay sections to get to the rest of the story.

Honestly TLOU would’ve been better as an HBO series, which is why I think it’s going to make a really good HBO series.

TLOU I can see why someone might not enjoy it but calling Uncharted 2-4 no fun to play? Laughable.

Yeah lmao I couldn’t believe folk didn’t swarm on that seeing the hard-on people have for shitting on Sony here lately. Everyone kicked up a right funk about ND and yet when it’s turns out the leaker was not affiliated everyone is silent...

 

Yeah I just finished 4. Fucking excellent gameplay sequences that genuinely made me gasp out loud haha. Won’t pretend they reinvented the wheel - far from it - but that game was great fun.

 

Also: Not saying ND are absolved from any criticism. They’re a bad company to their employees.

 

I took great care to always specify in what I was saying that it only applied IF the leaker was a ND employee. I don’t support someone doing it just to troll people or cause chaos.

I also stand by the fact that ND’s leadership treat their workers like garbage and clearly need some kind of reckoning before anything will change. If it’s not this, it will be something like it in the future. You can only treat your workers like cattle for so long.

Really hoping ND is the first game studio to unionize, that would be so fitting.

Absolutely. I just wish people would talk of CDProjektRed the same. Instead all you ever hear is how they’re good guys when they’re widely documented as underpaying workers, having horrible working conditions and forcing staff to work on public holidays. They legit responded to all the accusations by acknowledging it and saying ‘hey the job isn’t for everyone’. All it takes is a google. But because everyone acts Witcher 3 was revolutionary they’re somehow absolved. The industry is RIFE with companies doing this and people just pick and choose who to complain about based on their own interests.

I don’t think it was anything enjoyable. Agree to disagree for sure and I’m glad you liked it! It just felt like it was actively making me not enjoy the game unfortunately.

Yeah both CDPR and Rockstar, especially, get way too big of a pass. They’re both just as bad as ND, if not worse.
