The current-gen version will probably launch this October no matter what. The next-gen version will launch when the new consoles do.

They way Yves was talking, sounds like Watch Dogs Legion was gonna launch with the new consoles. Unless AC does as well, but I can’t see both out at the same time.

It was definitely going to be out alongside the new consoles and is 100% gonna be cross-gen, but I doubt that Ubi is going to want to lose out on the big sales bump they usually get from a new AC game in the fall if the consoles get delayed. I think the current-gen version launches in October/November regardless of whether the new consoles get delayed.

 

I remember being so disappointed back in the day when we found out that AC Brotherhood was "just" going to be in Rome. Made me think the game was going to be a big step down from ACII. How wrong I was.

How different are older AC games compared to Odyssey and Origins? Are the older ones just more linear?

 

They’re just not full action-rpgs, and the worlds are smaller. If you’re gonna go back and play older games, I would echo Moose in saying to play Syndicate and Unity. I would also check out the Ezio Collection just because the stories are so good. But all the rest of the games you can safely skip and read summaries of online or something.

I think so. I know a ton of it leaked on ResetEra and they kept like a megathread of all the leaks. I forgot about 99% of them but I'd be interested to see how they compare with the trailer.

Hopefully there's a trophy/achievement to not skip the end credits.

 

Besides Resident Evil Nemesis I've been on a jrpg kick lately, I beat Xenoblade Chroniceles 2, just beat Final Fantasy 7 remake, and am currently playing Ni No Kuni: The Wrath of the Witch Witch.

 

Ni No Kuni was so great

 

I only played the second and loved it so figured its about time I got around to the first. I'm loving it
