I mean, they did just make one in Egypt

 

I get it we had Skyrim and God of War so we’ve been inundated with Viking aesthetic

 

I was fine with it in Skyrim, the fantasy elements softened the blow

 

the first one was Syria, isn’t there one in Turkey, there’s also the one in the Caribbean

idk obviously these are western games but at least it is critical of westernism and imperialism

I mean from the moment with the first game the Templars are rightfully the evil crusaders

 

Almost all the big AC games have been in Europe or feature predominantly European characters. Origins was a step in the right direction but now it’s back to mainly being in or revolving around Europe.

 

Vikings are p cool

 

Like gimme a game in dynasty era China or feudal Japan, Ubisoft, you can’t hold on that forever

 

those would be dope

 

personally more Middle East stuff would be really cool to me

 

but era of kingdoms Europe is also super high on my ‘want’ list

 

I don’t know compared to others AC has been pretty balanced, especially recently, I think they’re doing okay

 

Considering Ubisoft is a French company and these games are largely made by French-Canadian developers, I’m not surprised that they tend to be more Euro-centric. It’s not an excuse by any means, it’s just kind of like a “hope for something different but expect more of the same” situation.

But yeah they have made a bunch of games set in other regions of the world, and a few games starring non-white protagonists (although not all of them were mainline games). They need to do better but they’ve already done better than a lot of other franchises.

 

Hell, the AssCreed franchise launched with a non-white lead character (Altair, not Desmond) and in the Middle East.

Feudal Japan would be cool but people demand it so annoyingly that I kind of not want them to make it. The Byzantine Empire would be cool too and it would fit into their timeline pretty easily.

 

We’re about due for a Far Cry 6 reveal. Wonder where they’ll go?

They are gonna do Ass Creed in space or some shit

 

I think they should do a game set in the Persian empire and really lean in to parkour, platforming and puzzle solving, maybe even give it a new name
