So having your girlfriend live with you during quarantine is not easy. I have yet to beat Doom Eternal after starting it 2 weeks ago.

    ok AC question:

when I’m on missions the middle of my screen always has a message that says “...call Senu...”

how do I get rid of this?

Have you tried calling? If that doesn’t work it might be a bug?

You need to use Senu to scope out the map when you get close to the quest marker, you won't know who the target is unless you use Senu to scope out the target. It would be v dumb not to use Senu

Senu was a great addition and alleviated a lot of the typical open world woes

i had grown pretty tired of Giant Bomb, mainly because Jeff's outlook on games in general has become insufferably negative, but since they've been operating remotely the mood has skewed much more closely to that of yesteryear. less focus on news and new games and more banter and focusing on playing things they enjoy. think im gonna resub to premium for the first time in ages.

Anyone have any good recommendations for a classic turnbased RPG for Switch of PS4? I'm a big fan of FF7/FF8, Chrono Trigger, Legend of Dragoon (from what I remember of it...). Something with a good story/exploration that isn't too much. I keep getting close to pulling the trigger on Octopath but it just seems overwhelming to me.

FFVII Remake bummed me out and I need something good again

Dragon Quest 11 my friend!! I'd suggest the Switch version as it is a little improved and has a few nice additions to it.

Funny because Jeff is basically the last one I usually still could relate to in terms of games lol But yes I agree about how the tone has become more like back in the day lately

You know Dragon Quest XI is good when oldmanjersey recommends it instead of a FF game

@I Am Mick just know beforehand, DQXI is a long game and it does take a good amount of time for the story to really pick up, but it is definitely worth the ride, it's also the best turn based JRPG to come out in a long ass time.

Octopath is great but the monotony is hard to ignore after a while. I'm almost positive they are going to make something of a sequel, it was really successful, I think.

i don't mind Jeff disliking shit but he has recently been letting it seep into when other people have the floor and it just irks me. like the dude plays 80% iterative shooters and shits on everything else, it is like a reddit comment with voiceover sometimes.

talking Gerstmann not Bakkalar, Jeff B always rules

Like 40-60 hours or 100+? Either way, seems like I should give it a shot.

I rented Control from Gamefly and that should hopefully come today, so after I beat that I'll probably go with Dragon Quest

As far as the Switch is concerned, I'll always rec Octopath, but it certainly has its flaws. And even though I've only played the demo, Dragon Quest 11 is certainly a good choice as far as classic turned based stuff goes.

They also have a bunch of the old classics on there, like the first three DQ games, Star Ocean 1, FF7-9, and Langrisser.
