Is DQX good? I never really looked into it

 

I think it looks great

 

Yeah i'm definitely very interested in playing it.

FNV is already more fun than Fallout 3

 

I've never played a MMO but I'd play DQX day one lol

 

I have never played FF but I put 70 hours into DQXI - that's all I got to add

 

I watched my friend play XII back in college - the overworld, gameplay, and presentation were super good for the time - but the story went nowhere and I was left scratching my head waiting for it to pick up but it just never did. what did you like about XII so much?

 

jrpg gameplay is going to have to change a lot even still for me to want to play them, they are moving in the right direction as of late - they always look sooo fucking padded and still unafraid to make you grind - I am not about that life at all

 

there are a lot of really great stories in the good jrpgs though and that is otherwise most often the way to get me really excited - and that’s why I watch jrpgs instead of play them

 

anyone play the old xenogears? that games story seems goat.

 

The grind is an element of JRPGs that a lot of people love. I'd much rather have a grindy game that takes me 40+ hours than be done with a game in 6 hours like I was with RE3 lol

 

and I totally understand that I just can’t for reasons that make sense to me

 

Yeah it already happened, but I think that game is like supposed to come out soon-ish. Or at least it was lol

 

the plot and characters were the main thing about it that I loved actually haha

 

the characters were cool but I don’t remember hardly any story in the last third of the game or at the end like you normally get from a FF. maybe I’m misremembering - it was ~2011.

 

that bunny chick had me hot I still think Ariana Grande was influenced by that get up on the cover of her one album

Xenoblade is probably my favorite JRPG series currently that isn’t Pokemon

 

it's up there for me but DQ wins for me simply because it's got more great games
