DQ is obviously the better JRPG because FF is so tailored for Western tastes these days lol

 

I think y'all just like to be against the grain tbh

 

Ah yes anyone who thinks other JRPGs are just as good/better than FF just likes going against the grain got it

That comment was particularly stupid due to how much me and Moose love pokemon

This conversation is exhausting every time it happens

Finally did the Okumura fight in P5R and it was as draining and terrible as advertised

 

I'm painfully self aware so that's all I think about the entire time

 

You know what was painful

FFXV

 

Idk if I've ever played a RPG with a shorter lifespan in my personal life than FFXV

I played it once, TRIED to play more, and couldnt bring myself to do it

 

I shudder just thinking about how much I hated those characters

 

And it cannot be overstated how much I was desperate to love FFXV hahaha

 

I played like 50 percent. Then I got the pocket edition and it was so fuckin shallow and simple I couldn't finish it

 

I can't tell if you were supposed to like the characters in FFXV or hate them

Because it would be weird if you were meant to hate the main characters in a game like FFXV, but it's just as weird if someone though those characters would be likable

 

They tried to make them REALLY cool and it was pretty lame

 

It’s what got me through high school

 

It's pretty bad if the prelude movie they made for the game holds up better than the game

 

They were like that group of guys at school that thought they were really cool but everyone just laughed at them not with them

 

I appreciate FFXV for being a AAA game that really shouldn’t exist

 

It's sad because there's so many clear and easy ways the could've made it better and so many concepts in the game itself that were cool (I'm glad they brought over the soundtrack idea to FF7R)

 

I really hope Yoshi's team is in charge of XVI

 

You shouldn't even need a movie, the ego of SE to try to pull off what they tried to with XV is ridiculous. Stop trying to evolve the series and just go back to the formula, any of the formulas that worked great.

 

Or like, if you're going to evolve it...make it feel like a product that should've taken the 10 years XV took

 

This is why DQ is better ;D

 

To be fair, most of the work of the first 7 years was probably canned
