This is completely false and not what they said at all. What they really said is that based on the testing they’ve done on all of the top 100 games on the PS4, almost all of them will work right away on the PS5.

For people thinking this meant that those would be the only PS4 games to work on the PS5 at launch, they went on to clarify that the overwhelming majority of all games available on the PS4 will be able to work right away on the PS5. They have to individually test these games to see if they will need further tweaking by developers in order to run properly on the PS5.

 

If it dose come out on ps5 and not ps4 that’s fine I really don’t give a fuck as I’ll be getting ps5 at launch.

The PS4 copy will run on the Ps5 and will probably have a higher resolution. There won’t be a need for a ps5 TLOU2

 

It would be needed if someone purchases a PS5 and doesn’t own a PS4, or trades in their PS4 towards a PS5.

Yeah the whole just release it digitally stuff is the most gamer fuel reddit post shit i’ve seen in a while and clearly not at all tuned in to how stuff works in the real world.

Not saying they couldn’t take an L and end up releasing it digitally anyways, but this delay and the many that will follow it were always going to be the natural thing to happen after China shut down.
