1) Not all PS4 games are going to work on PS5 at launch. Only 100 chosen games will.
2) It’s not rare for games to be delayed and then released for 2 consoles at once. Nintendo has done that a few times. Microsoft is doing it with the new Halo.
3) If LOU2 was going to be released any other date than the PS5 launch then I’m pretty sure they would have said the date, but since they don’t want to reveal the PS5 launch date they are just saying LOU2 is “indefinitely delayed”

 

Over 4000 games will be played in ps5 that came out on ps4

also why would they move a game that’s basically done on ps4 to ps5 and alienate the majority of their install base when there’s 110 million ps4s in peoples homes. The game will still launch on ps4 they would lose so much money by not having it launch on ps4

Sony themselves said that at launch only 100 chosen top PS4 games will work on PS5
PS5 will support "almost all" of the top 100 PS4 games at launch

It’s because Sony wants a major title that will make people not mind spending $500 on a PS5. People can get it on either PS5 or PS4. It’s a win/win for Sony since the game is getting delayed anyways

Yes I know what was said I watched the conference and then they said the next day over 4000 games will be playable. The game won’t be delayed till ps5 launch it will be out August or September on ps4 the game is done so as soon as the world can leave their houses the game will release. Has zero to do with ps5 also they have a bunch of other games they will launch on ps5 that won’t be last of us 2. God of war horizon zero dawn 2 Spider-Man 2 gran turismo 8 could all possibly be launch titles. Why launch last of us 2 when it was announced for ps4 when you can launch an unannounced game on ps5 and make more money having new game plus last of us on ps4 out?????

 

It’s very optimistic to think that the world will look even remotely normal come August.
