I'm a huge fan of Borderlands. I remember I was incredibly excited for the original Borderlands after the original GI reveal in 2007. Even before the art style change happened, which by the way is still one of the most genius decisions ever made at such a late point in any game's development cycle. I put so many hours into Borderlands. Then Borderlands 2 came out and I put even more hours into that. It really says something that I haven't touched Borderlands 3 and probably never will. My tolerance of Gearbox's bullshit ran out years ago.

 

Alien CM alone was worth me never giving them another shot. Didn’t they develop DN: Forever too!?

 

Gearbox finished DN: Forever, but the majority of the work was done by another development team. That game was in development for nearly 15 years. I think anyone who was actually excited for it must have been delusional or something. It had failure written all over it.

If it wasn't for Borderlands, I wouldn't have supported Gearbox at all after their PC port of Halo CE ended up being garbage.

Bought a refurbished Xbox one X online for $230 from Walmart. Excited to self quarantine when I get home on Monday

Nioh 2 looks like Sekiro but with worse graphics, far less interesting enemy design and poorer fighting mechanics. I don’t even like Sekiro. The game infuriated me and I’ll probably never finish it. I can’t get past like the 2nd or 3rd boss on it. But watching Nioh gameplay just made me think that it was a less interesting Sekiro. Despite the original Nioh presumably coming long before Sekiro was around.
