Hm, i'm not a big FPS fan at all and find the Fallout 4 gunplay to be very simple and straightforward and I really enjoy it. I honestly don't use VATS a ton unless very necessary.

The Outer Worlds was a blast! I enjoyed all of the Fallout games I played and thought New Vegas had the best story. Astral Chain looks nuts, don't know if I wanna go that route or get something more relaxing like Luigi's Mansion lol.

Ape Out is very Hotline Miami like and Katana Zero is kind of that way as well. Bloodroots came out recently and is very Hotline Miami too.

Did you play Inside? From the makers of Limbo? You may want to check out Little Nightmares.

Outlast and Amnesia collections are both on Switch now. It's a bit stranger, but Deadly Premonitions is a underrated gem in the horror/mystery category.

I'd recommend Oxenfree, Oddworld Stranger's Wrath, What Remains of Edith Finch, Hollow Knight, AI: The Somnium Files, or Onimusha Warlords just from personal picks.

I'd think about trying something that's just completely different (of course not something you have absolutely NO interest in) because sometimes that's what hooks me the most. Something that's completely unexpected.

Condemned blew my fucking mind and there hasn’t been a game experience like it ever since. It was so brutal and visceral and my god did it make my pants so much darker. I miss it so much and just thinking about the pathetic excuse of a sequel it got makes me so sad. I would dieeeee if they released a remaster/make.

Inside does intrigue me but I was worried it would be too much like Limbo. Gf watches videos of it often and I’m thinking I might have a look. If it’s on switch that’s a bonus because I have next to no games on it and I wanna actually get some use out of it.

I have Amnesia on PS4 because the collection was free, and I think the same of Outlast? Enjoyed them both, but both felt very much like PC games and a little out of place on console in terms of controls. Found it a tad tough to get used to them. I might dive back in considering I still obviously own them both.

VERY intrigued by your Oddworld recommendation considering all I’ve ever played of those is Abe’s Odyssey and Exodus, and the remake of Odyssey.

I do try to branch out but my latest attempt kinda fell flat. Bought Undertale and played with the gf but we kinda drifted got bored of it. Even though it’s funny. I think we saw too much footage of it.
