I'm more excited for the Pokémon dlc than I am for most games

bounced off of Remnant pretty hard. might go back to it at some point because I did like what was there but was not in the mindset for something that challenging. first boss felt like it was designed for co-op and I was getting pissed.

downloaded both of the Wolfenstein games on Game Pass to go through next while I plug along in Children of Morta

 

Idk if Wolfenstein 2 is one of them but it's my favourite FPS in forever and I couldn't recommend it enough

 

I need the Goku game to be good

 

what are some good gaming pods outside of Giant Bomb? my barber got me into Watch Out for Fireballs and im really enjoying that

 

the filler stuff looks like padding to me, like the crafting and cooking and orb collecting. but if the reviews say it's even average i know im gonna crack and buy it. been wanting to do a rewatch of Kai recently and this may be a more fun alternative

 

My friend and I have been watching through the series starting from Dragon Ball for about two years now, and we are in the middle of the Buu saga right now. So I will be picking up the game on release day no matter what lol

 

it is, going through the first one first then playing new colossus

Kotaku's Splitscreen - Jason is fine, I like Kirk and Maddie because they level him out sometimes.
Spawn on Me - "the internet's definitive video game podcast featuring and spotlighting gamers of color."
Waypoint - way more of a 'critical' anlaysis and can get in the weeds at times but I like Austin Walker and Patrick Klepek and their takes.

yeah theres a barbershop near me and it's a bunch of dudes my age that look like me and play the same punk music and play the same games and are within a few years of my age on either side. it's awesome but at the same time every time i go there i realize how much of a generic white millennial male i am lol

 

Video Games Hot Dog is the best imo, despite the name. The guy behind Frog Fractions and the guys behind West of Loathing are on that. I also like Radio Free Nintendo. Rebel FM can be good sometimes, but I haven’t listened in a while. That’s about it these days.

 

I think I've mentioned it before in here but my barber put on the Persona 5 soundtrack for me the last time I got a haircut (without me asking)

 

ill have to cherry pick a couple eps from each of these. Watch out for Fireballs is a deep dive on a non-current game, usually stuff that's at least a couple of years old and beyond. eps are 2-3 hours and the two hosts are likable enough. they're not encyclopedic by any means but they're not snooty HxC gAmEr either

 

If you don’t mind listening to non-current stuff then I recommend the Idle Thumbs back catalogue.
