same, I hated the game at first but then I went for a completely ridiculous build and ended up loving it.

Anybody play Stardew Valley? I just played it for like 9 hours straight and my face hurts

I'm just starting Fall on my first year, I have a silo and a few tools upgraded, I'm going to deck out my farm and organize it and get a coop going. I've got around 70k to spend and I'm level 7 in everything but combat, in which I am level 4. What should I be doing??

 

There are two answers to this.

1. Whatever you feel like.

Or..

2. Whatever a guide tells you to in order to fix the community center as soon as possible.

Both have upsides. I personally did the first thing, but I never did end up complete the community center, because by the time I focused on that I had already played a lot and it would have taken so long.

 

Has anyone here plaid Void Bastards? A roguelike FPS with awesome looking cartoon graphics, made by BioShock and System Shock 2 people. It’s on GamePass so I think I’ll give it a try soon.

 

Haha yeah, I figured that. I'm just gonna do whatever I want, but I am trying to get the community center. My cousin always tells me how cool it was when he got it in one year but I do not even see how that's possible. Right now I am just keeping track of everything I need and what season I need it in, and not worrying about artisan shit like that. Naturally playing through the game is a good way to acquire that, and that's kinda the end goal I guess. Also marrying Emily.

 

It is possible if you use a guide right away but that destroys the magic. The thing is, the community center system kind of sucks. You’ll need certain things that you can only get at certain times of the year and if you didn’t acquire them you’ll have to wait for a whole year to get them. Some of them you’ll definitely miss without a guide. That can add a lot of time and “grinding” to a game you’re basically already finished with.

 

Fair enough. Yeah, I'd rather play through myself and actually enjoy the game. I feel like after the center, there's still so much to do and I'm going to have to raise everybody's heart levels, get every crop/animal product/secret item/upgrade etc etc that I'll have plenty to do. I've more than already gotten $15 worth out of this game.

It blows my mind that one person was responsible for like, this entire game pretty much

 

Yeah I recommend just doing what feels good and not focusing on the community center if you don’t feel like it. I just basically built a nice little farm, got married, had a kid and called it a day. I didn’t want to destroy the vibe by grinding for the community center after that. I might someday do an optimized run.

 

Dying Light is fun but combat against humans is such a pain in the arse
