I mean, I can see the Souls-like thing and it’s a solid point to consider. However, I can’t think of another game that was a big of a phenomenon as Minecraft was. No other game was as prevalent or widespread as MC imo, it’s gonna be one of those games in the future that you can name drop and practically everyone, even those who don’t play games, would know what you’re talking about like Mario or Pokémon. Plus, it’s gameplay is simple and easy to pick up, which introduced a whole generation of kids to gaming.
