The things you could do in terms of movement in SC1 were pretty damn impressive compared to most games out at the time. The level design was impressive too, especially its verticality.

 

idk through the years of mgs, tenchu, thief, hitman, and then finally the masterpiece that is mgs2... then a whole year later splinter cell comes out as a new ip. it was a good game idk.

 

The same is happening with PS5 btw. Backwards compatibility with PS4 and cross-generation multiplayer.

 

I think both of them had to do this at this point. Not doing would have been a hard sell in 2012, unless their consoles would have been drastically different, which is not something they would do.

 

Blacklist is, in my opinion, the second best Splinter Cell game. It's super underrated. It's one of the few games that is underrated purely because of a voice actor change. In retrospect, all the hate towards Ubisoft was misguided considering what Ironside was going through at the time. But gameplay wise, Blacklist is awesome. I even like the story. But Splinter Cell games have always had overlooked stories. Cyber thrillers rarely get praise.

I really do hope they make another Splinter Cell game. A final one with Ironside playing Sam Fisher. After that, they can maybe start over with a new character or just retire the series.

 

You should not have the option to go guns blazing in a Splinter Cell and press a “magic button” to instantly kill 3 enemies.

 

I'm indifferent to the "magic button" thing. But the option of going guns blazing should always be there. Been a while since I did it, but I do recall that Sam's colleagues will treat you like crap if you do it. At least in Chaos Theory that's the case. Lol.

 

persona 5 is like $10 everywhere so no excuse to not get it

Persona 5 is perfect as it is, but you might as well wait for the royal if you still haven't played it at this point lol

Don’t recall. I did play Moonwalker and that’s a weird game.

 

Picked up the Spider-Man GOTY edition on the The Game Awards sale, along with the HZD Frozen Winds DLC I never picked up. A solid $25 spent.

 

You ever watch the extended Smooth Criminal video? Dude turns into a giant robot and flies into space, he also fights some super villain drug dealer dude or something like that.

 

Sorry, this was the Moonwalker film but still, it’s fucking insane and well worth a watch.

 

Oh and Joe Pesci was the drug dealer
