very much looking for a great single player experience. Multiplayer doesn’t interest me.

What do you guys think of PSVR? Is it just an expensive gimmicky thing I’ll use a couple times and never pick up again?

I've had fun with my friend's but that's enough. She LOVES it though

 

Outer Worlds is a fantastic single player experience

I’m in a place called Kan-onji right now, in Kagawa. I’ll be living in Takamatsu soon. Which is like a mini Birmingham but not scummy. It’s convenient and modern and beaut. And small!

Not playing anything atm. Was hoping for either a Star Wars or Death Stranding black friday sale but I figured they were just released so no dice. But PS4 has so many great single players I've just had no desire or need to have PS+. Off the top of my head I've played and enjoyed GoW, Horizon, Bloodborne, Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy, Spider-Man, Sekiro, Hyper Light Drifter...

 

Fallen Order reminds me how much better Star Wars stuff has been (excluding EU stuff) since Disney took over, like it’s a straight up great SW game. Easily the best since OG Battlefront II, which is one of the only good things to come out in the late George Lucas era aside from The Clone Wars show.

 

Layers of Fear 2 is better than the first in almost every way, except they added a whole bunch of run away from a creature segments a la Outcast that were almost every time frustrating instead of tense or fun. I did notice that in a patch they made those sections easier but I never tested that.

And Blair Witch kills me because it's literally the only xbox exclusive that I want to buy an xbox for, and I just haven't felt like laying down that much money for one game. But I need to eventually because the two films are favorites of mine

 

If it’s any consolation, my brother has it (he plays Xbox and I play PS4) and I too was considering buying one purely for that. It ain’t great. There’s a couple good sections but honestly it’s incredibly underwhelming, clunky and kinda buggy. Especially the dog companion. Just daft. We were both pretty disappointed and he was very glad he didn’t pay full price.

Only played the original Layers of Fear but it was brilliant for what it was. If the sequel is better (which above seems to say it is) then you’re in for a cheap treat.

 

Yeah I watched GiantBomb's halloween stream of the first few hours and it didnt look incredible, another reason why I'm not rushing out to grab an xbox one...if I get one eventually though it will still be my first purchase (for presumably cheap by then)
