Polygon started writing about YouTube and so on recently, it’s annoying because those nonsense articles keep appearing on my feeds more than their gaming content

 

The only journalism I fuck with (and I wouldn’t even call it journalism) is Easy Allies. They’re generally entertaining and they keep things pretty light.

Every major site has good people, just like they also have bad people. Polygon just happens to be a majority of bad with a sprinkling of good as opposed to other sites where it tends to be the other way around.

Wuuuut that’s wild. The most clever thing they’ve done in about 4 game releases.

Anyone ever mess with RPGMaker? I just bought the MV one and have years of experience with 2k3 and XP. I like to think I'm going to finish a game this time.

 

I've always wanted to give these games a try!

 

I had one like way way back on PS1 and it was like the weirdest thing ever. I've heard good things about the newest ones. It's a great way to test out ideas and such.

 

They are really, really fun. A lot of game dev communities look down on them, but MV uses JavaScript and there is a lot of room for creativity. Rpgmaker.net is a good resource if you ever give it a go.

This is so fucking cool. It's really hard to knock Microsoft for all the awesome stuff they've been doing to be the most consumer friendly gaming company.

 

I really love that MS did that. I firmly believe that gaming should be for everybody and I hope this will lead to more accessibility options.

 

Nice. I actually have it on Mac, which meant I had to buy it from Steam. I’m hoping to build a decent PC by Christmas because my MacBook can’t handle all the parallax mapping I want to do and have multiple animated pictures on the maps.

 

About to get spidey. It’s already sept 7 here. Lol.
