It just ends up feeling like a boring slog to me any time I get into a fight with a bunch of thugs. The games that copied it are even worse, one of the main reasons I was disappointed in the Spider-Man reveal, ha.

I don't have the discipline to grind enough so I always hit a wall, haha. I assume they are like they always are.

About 15 hours into Nier, and 25 into Persona 5.

Really hoping I can wrap up both before Destiny 2.

Haven't seen anyone really talk about the difficulty so it's probably safe to assume it's on the easy side like the rest of the series.

i finished up rime and prey a few days ago. rime was really not satisfying enough to replay like journey was for me. prey's story was okay, but it was the gameplay and environment that kept me interested. really looking forward to fortnite when it becomes free.

Got Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 (first time playing something not 1 or 2, starting with Birth By Sleep) as well as Tales of Zestiria. Should be busy with those for a while.

So I beat Final Fantasy 12 last night. 75 hours with a lot of double speed. I loved it. The story was great until it took a dip for a pretty boring third act before pulling it in for an excellent ending. I have to admit when the game was like "you won't be able to continue" my first thought was, "really?" Like Looking back and I can see how the final dungeon was the final dungeon but it didn't feel like a "final dungeon" (what an ugly sentence). I don't think I'll be going for the high level hunts.

  9. Finished. Well, with the second ending, anyway. I have no interest in getting all the Riddles, so I just watched the third ending on YouTube. I decided not to do a full review; I won't bore you with repetition. Scarecrow (and Joker) payoff was nice. Kind of disappointed that Deathstroke was just another tank fight. Also kind of wish we got a little bit more of Jason Todd at the end--the game's named after his new alter-ego, after all--but I guess the subtle ambiguity is nice. The firefighter side quest payoff was pretty underwhelming as well. To sum up, this is the most ambitious of Rocksteady's Arkham games, but that very ambition leads to its downfall. While there are a lot of story weaknesses and even some gameplay weaknesses, there's a lot to enjoy. Even with all my complaints, it's still a solid game. I just didn't love it like i did Arkham City, but I think I still prefer it over the claustrophobia of Arkham Asylum.

100% chance that every game Rockstar makes from now on has a GTAO-like multiplyer component.

I don't think there's any reason to think the single player will suffer in future games, it's not like they made a half assed single player for GTA 5.

In terms of Rockstar games, single player is for acquisition, multiplayer is for retention. Both are equally important. If anything we can hope multiplayer will be better.

I am blown away by how cool of a release Dragon Quest XI is and I sincerely hope it comes to the west. A simultaneous release on PS4 and 3DS, and you could even buy them together in a bundle. With a password, you can transfer all of your save data between copies!

On top of THAT, there are like 3 entirely separate graphic styles depending on what copy you're playing???

You can swap between 2D SNES graphics and traditional 3DS graphics..

and then of course there's the PS4 version.

    Totally nuts.

Already have confirmation it's coming to the west as of last week, although they haven't actually confirmed the platforms yet - we know the PS4 version is coming over but no word on the 3DS version yet.

The 3DS has two graphic styles, but the game doesn't change except for the visuals. The PS4 version in in many ways very different, but it has the same plot and characters and so on, as far as I have heard. It's a weird thing.

Oh whoa, I didn't know the PS4 version changed that drastically. This game is such an odd thing but I love it.

Makes me wonder what kind of treatment the Switch version will get, assuming that is on the way.

It is confirmed and in the works and some say it's kind of a hybrid between the different versions. So there are like 3.5 games with the same name. Square is weird. But as a DQ fan I'm not complaining.
