I wanna get back into Paladins soon just because hi Rez is dumping everyone into developing it.

 

Do it dude, just joining it now and having some really good games

 

Grover is definitely my fave character rn on it. So deadly and so helpful

 

oh i see people are finally liking Paladins

 

Always liked paladins but I had the game when it was in closed beta I think and matchmaking wasn't a thing yet

 

when they send a lot of the good designers from the smite team there, I'm starting to think this could be the next big thing.

 

I need to play Paladins again. I was working my way through leveling up the amount of characters I needed so I could play ranked matches when I got frustrated at some really stupid teammates and I just haven't gone back. Then again, I haven't really been playing much the last few weeks.

Do get to finally play FFXII tonight. The Amazon delivery person dropped it off at the front desk yesterday like right as they were closing, which meant I couldn't get it. Sigh.

and here I am raging at Smite because matchmaking is super terrible and everything stinks.

Anyone else played Hollow Knight? For me its like evidence that even if a game hits 90% of its stuff perfectly, if it fucks up the other 10% its still can be an incredibly frustrating experience. Its artistically beautiful, controls are smooth and enjoyable, sense of exploration and discovery is amazing... first five hours I spent on the game were all fantastic.

But as the game gets more difficult, starts to turn into "okay you died now backtrack over the same five rooms just to get back to where you were and if you die again you lose all your stuff". The exploration is fun, but sometimes it becomes unclear "okay do I really need to beat this really hard boss right now or is there some other route I missed". Feels like with a few tweaks (add some more benches, let me warp home from any bench...) it would be Ori levels of perfect 2-d platforming, but as is the fact that the rest of the game is so fucking perfect makes the drawbacks even more frustrating.

still gonna keep playing. but while after hour five I was like "this game is perfect and is the first thing I wanna do when I wake up" after hour ten I'm like "ehhh I should see if I can get any further today..."

 

I'm waiting for the Switch version. I've always been used to playing Castlevania on the go so I think that would be a huge factor on how I look at the game.

 

Yeah I'll get it on Switch. I definitely know the feeling you're describing though.

 

Why do I get the worst teams on paladins recently? I tried to play as fernando and had 139 seconds objective time whilst altogether my team had 32 seconds put together

For anyone with a Switch, the Splatoon 2 MP beta starts 3PM PT / 6PM ET in NA. Lasts 3 hours. Already going on in EU.

 

There was a speed runner that recently beat the first game in 20 minutes.

 

Yeah I watched a lot of DS1 speedruns back in the day. They're cool.

 

Supposedly, 20 minutes is that fastest so far and that is just mind boggling. Very cool though.

 

GOOOD LORD it's seriously sad with how great this Smite summer split finals is going that the viewership doesn't match up.

The underdogs just came back down from 2-0 in the series with some super weird off meta picks in the next two games to tie the series 2-2 going into the final set. IM SO HYPED.
