Looking to scratch my RPG fix with something on the DS, and goddamn, is there a system with as many diverse, critically acclaimed RPGs as the DS family? PS2 included. It is really insane. Gonna dig deep and try to find a gem.

 

Factor in the 3DS, just because it can play all DS games, and yeah it's kind of insane.

Don't know if you ever played Radiant Historia but, if not, get that game. It's one of the greatest RPGs of the last decade.

 

The DS family (especially if you also clunt 3DS) has maybe the best library period, but RPGs especially

This steam sale needs to end before I buy anything else.

 

Yoshi's Island is great. One of the most creative games on the Super Nintendo.

 

i never played yoshis island as a kid but i played it last year on the gba and enjoyed it a ton, don't really have any complaints about it tbh

 

Yeah it's actually fine, I just never understood why so many think it is a classic comparable to the best 2D Mario games. I just call it bad because I like to exaggerate ;D

 

Glover. Glover is a bad game that I love. Not that awful PSX port tho

 

Yoshi's Island is great aside from gameplay just for the total destruction of any possible coherent timeline to be assed together that doesn't involve some kind of mass genocide. Like, a stork drop Mario and Luigi at their parents house. What goddamn house, in what goddamn village? Were their parents abusive, or did the war in the Mushroom Kingdom bring their bitter end?
