The Old Blood is essentially 2 smaller games in one. The first part is a prequel to the New Order and leads right up to the beginning of it, while the other half is a Horde mode. I highly recommend checking out Old Blood for the right price.

Excellent news about IO. I can't wait to see what they do with Season 2.

I know I'll end up getting it, those games are so dear to me. I'm just a little wary. Like has anyone ever played a remake/remaster that tainted their opinion of the original game?

Do you mean in terms of the remake being done poorly or just not loving the games as much as you remember?

Yeah I guess more in terms of being done poorly. I dunno, maybe I'm just scaring myself with a problem that doesn't exist.

Just make sure you play Crash before the new Mario game and you'll be fine

All the videos I've seen of the games so far make this seem highly unlikely. Coco is playable in every level of all three games, time trials in the first two games, manual saves, and the game simply looks gorgeous. I wouldn't be worried

I'm trying to think of a remaster that I've personally played that was done poorly and disappointed me and I honestly can't think of a single one. Not saying bad ones don't exist, just that I've never really encountered them. Sure, some come in the form of just bare-bones ports, which can be disappointing, but even those tend to release with any post-launch DLC included. I will say, though, that I don't typically buy too many of them unless they're games I really, really loved (Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 HD Remix on PS4, for instance) so I'm probably not the best judge.

I didn't buy it but I was disappointed to hear how poorly the Jak remasters ran on Vita, a good portable port of Jak and Daxter would have been a dream.

Yeah it looks very well done to me and I was very cautious about it.

A random thing that I love about Watch Dogs 2...There appears to be a lot of different looking dog models and animations that are all super realistic and great. I spent awhile just walking on the beach just to hang out with them.

well, i obviously would. i got the gold edition. completed the DLC. one of my favorite games in a while. it's 10x better than the first one. i like the characters more, there's more focus on hacking, better gameplay mechanics, and it's less repetitive. and the side missions are actual stories and adventures of their own with narratives and dialogue, and not monotonous bullshit. the world feels more alive and it's fun exploring. and the collectibles are actually worth something - skill points, money, outfits. not just random things you pick up for the sake of it like other ubi games have done alongside the necessary stuff.

Watch Dogs 2 improved on everything from the first. I really enjoyed it, the side missions felt meaningful and important, and the story and characters were enjoyable.

    Soundtrack is great too.

I keep dipping in and out of Watch Dogs 2. I'll play for like 4 hours straight, mostly doing the taxi missions haha, then won't touch it again for like a month. Hopefully will complete it this summer cause I'm really enjoying it when I pick it up haha.
