Played the first two Bioshocks a couple months back and loved them. Bioshock 2 was probably my favorite gaming experience between the two, but I still have to give the nod to the original for being pretty innovative.

Excited to jump into Infinite but I've got a number of things I'd like to finish before then

  2. I've been thinking of doing my playthrough of the Bioshock remasters at a much later date, but at the same time, I kind of want to jump into just Minerva's Den now because I never got around to it the first time. What do?

Have you seen anyone get the kill on Jason yet? It's cool to see. I was already dead but I spectated it.

Is that one of those GCN/PS2 era Hack'N'Slash games? Those were fun as shit

I watched it on YouTube. We had all the components in one match I was in but he ended up killing us. The way with Jarvis is the only way or is it possible with just enough inflicted damage?

They took the best parts of the Two Towers game and made it so much better. I would still play it if I had my PS2 set up.

@The Lucky Moose t'was indeed and exactly what @johnnyferris said.

I'm partially inclined to say that it's just nostalgia talking, but even as kid I remember thinking that The Two Towers had a lot of flaws and ROTK greatly improved upon them. I felt so fucking bad ass as Gandalf at the Black Gate.

Those were well made hack n slays, it's not just nostalgia. It's just a genre that isn't a thing anymore in that way haha.

The music, sound design, voice acting etc...everything was so well executed and really gave you a sense that you were part of these massive battles. Pretty impressive. One of the only Hack & Slashes I was into besides Dynasty Warriors 4.

    Yeah that game was awesome.

The LOTR on the GBA with coop play was awesome as well. Legolas was kind of op though.

I legitimately don't remember which of those old LOTR's games I hated and loved but I feel like there was a decent amount of both.

There was a turn based RPG on GCN that I only played for like 30 minutes before I snapped

pour one out for Guardians of Middle Earth and how it really did not help make a case for MOBAs on consoles

I really am dying to find something immersive to play. Witcher III and BotW spoiled me. I feel like Rime may be the answer.

EDIT: Going to try Dark Souls for the first time to fill my Monster Hunter strat-slash itch because Capcom are idiots.

I'd give a lot to experience Dark Souls 1 for the first time again

I don't even really know why I never tried it. Maybe because I'm a completionist and don't have any way to play Demon Souls. I saw my buddy play Dark Souls III upconverted to 4K and was totally captivated by it a couple of weeks ago. He went off on a tangent on how he interprets the lore and I was hooked. Dark Souls is backwards compat on One, so I'll actually be using my Xbone to play a goddamn video game for once.

I still need to finish Witcher 3 + the expansions. Waiting for the DLC to drop for BotW before diving back into that.

I'm playing through the Witcher 3 on the hardest setting for my second playthrough. I want to get through that and get to level 30 and get rad gear before I move onto expansions. I skipped a lot of the Skellige stuff first time around.

Haha I figured you'd cosign the decision! The gf owns Bloodborne due to the suggestion of the aforementioned Souls-obsessed friend, and she hates it because she has no patience and an awful temper. I was gonna start there but he said I'd appreciate the changes it made mechanically a lot more if I got used to the Souls series style first.
