Would you guys say I would have to play the previous Dragon Age games to play Dragon Age: Inquisition? Just that it is 75% off on Xbox One right now and it looks solid.

 

Not at all. You'll meet some characters but you won't need their backstory. Maybe watch a Youtube video.

 

Glad to hear, I'm after a game that will last me a while and for the price it is at I can't really complain.

 

It's a great game. I played it more than once which is not normal for me.

 

Turns out I didn't actually lose all my progress in Kingdom Hearts 2 like I had previously thought. I better hurry and finish it before the third one comes out!!!

Oh yeah, and I'm still in the middle of Final Fantasy XIII. I should hurry before the FFVII remake takes up all my time!!!

 

TrueAchievements reviewed Friday the 13th and it echoed a lot if the same things that people on here were were mentioning. They said it's a great game overall but that is overshadowed by bad servers, inability to connect to other players and people leaving early. They did say that those on the Xbox do have the advantage of LFG to address the lobby issues. I wonder if that will inspire PS to create something similar (beyond TrueTrophies).

Also, on a side note, that few people on here will care about as they are not completionists, but they mentioned that the game is extremely grindy.

 

So if you all are bummed about Life is Strange not showing up as free on the PS Store, put it in your cart, go to check out, and it'll show up as free.

I honestly think the chances of FF7 Remake and KH4 coming out or Square going bankrupt before that are about 50/50

 

Is Square Enix is financial trouble? I had no idea.

 

They are occasionally, they aren't the most stable company, which makes sense given all these money drains like FF15 and so on. They are doing better than they have been a few years ago though, 2013 was very bad for them. I think the last two years have been good, but then again that's when FF15 finally came and before FF7R started derailing. Also, their Western diversification has helped them, yet they are now increasingly shutting that stuff down. I was also sort of kidding.. sort of ;D

 

I don't think you realize how bad that hurts me

 

Anybody played The Town of Light? Was released today on PS4 and Xbox One after being out on PC for a while already and despite some flaws it is a psychological horror game that doesn't descend into cliches while dealing with the subject matter of mental health extremely well.

I have one more episode left in Game of Thrones, but now I'm reconsidering my choice at the end of that last one. Pretty average Telltale overall, though. It's kind of cool to be controlling up to four characters in four settings at once each episode, but I think the game relies too heavily on characters (and voice talent) and events from the show. I really liked how The Walking Dead felt so far removed from the show while still being in the same universe and taking place at the same time. With TTGoT it kind of feels like a crutch. I know Tales from the Borderlands had a lot of characters from the main games as well, but with GoT it's like your entire story is influenced by the Red Wedding, the Caster expedition, and the liberation of Mereen, like, we already saw this, we don't need it from a different perspective.

Matchmaking issues addressed in the newest patch. I still think this is a great game with lots of potential to get even better

 

I think I'm getting the itch to start up a new game in Skyrim again.
