Weird to compare to those series, only thing that is in GTA's class of broad appeal is like Madden and CoD, maybe Battlefield too.

 

I'm pretty sure CoD would be a better choice than Battlefield, but yes I know what you mean. Madden and CoD are somewhat problematic though because they are annual and have been for a long time, unlike GTA.

It's not a comparison in that way though, those are just some well known franchises that he uses to clarify just how big GTA is for those that have no frame of refference for the numbers. Also AC isn't exactly a small franchise, it's pretty big and well known I'd say.

 

Man, I have such a good feeling about Far Cry 5...

That and Battlefront 2 are going to be my jam.

Exactly. It's a lot like watching a debate where both sides have obviously not done their homework on the other side. It leads to frustration and never results in a great dialogue. Hopefully Ubi did their homework and show an interesting side to religious zealots, but I'm expecting nothing more than furthered caricatures.

 

I think if that's your expectation you'll be very dissapointed. These are very likely just going to be a bunch of angry guys that try to shoot you.

Sure, but if so, they should stay away from topics and scenarios of rape, religion, colonialism, racism, etc, because the mechanics and narrative are unequipped to handle their serious nature and it just becomes disrespectful and dumb.

I'm about to get my game pass started and I'll most likely keep it.

 

This Xbox Game Pass is a good thing even if I don't pay for it after my two week free trial is up, a few games featured I was thinking about buying and now don't have too.

Well if I don't like the games then I won't need to but not hard for me to complete a game at a quick pace but still enjoy it, did Mass Effect: Andromeda in about the same time despite that lasting 60 hours.

 

If there is one thing that'll get me to stop playing video games it's unexpected console updates that fuck up my limited gaming time

 

Castlevania series looks like it could be pretty cool. I loved the games growing up so I'm excited to give it a shot when it comes out
