Does anyone here import games from Japan with any regularity? Looking to import Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition for PS4 (didn't get an American release) and I'm wondering if anyone could recommend a good site.

 

Ive only bought imported through Amazon.

well, Undertale was quite good.

 

Rage quit Sound Shapes, that game is so damn hard. I have no idea how 13% have the platinum.

 

I tried researching GPUs this morning and I'm still so lost. I should probably wait until I have a job; even the ones that are a few years old (still a few years newer than the one I have now) are at least a hundred bucks, it looks like. I think I'll just play a bunch of older games in my backlog until my current GPU explodes or something and worry about upgradingreplacing it then. Kind of sucks that I bought Arkham Knight fully intending on playing it immediately. Even Battleborn is having framerate issues at the lowest resolution, so I think I'm going to hang that up as well for now.

 

Maybe you can still refund it on Steam?

 

It was already on sale. If I got a refund and bought it again later I'd only save like five bucks, unless I waited until it was way, way down.

 

played through Firewatch this weekend. I really liked it. did not at all turn out how I was expecting.

also, for those of you who have never played Kentucky Route Zero: play it. I never see it talked about, but it was on my list for a long time and finally started it, and damn, what a wild, weird, gorgeous game. it's actually currently free through Twitch Prime (which is included in Amazon Prime).

 

KR0 is incredible, I put Act IV pretty high on my GOTY list last year and each act ranked pretty highly on their respective year's list, easily one of my favorites in recent memory. It's such a crazy inventive, beautiful, unique thing. It goes to such weird places and I just adore its carefully built, increasingly insane lore. It probably will be a while but I can't wait to see what the finale has in store.

Damn, the ending of the Wildlife Preservation mission still gets me. Props to the voice actor for Mordecai. I'm so glad there's Thousand Cuts and Opportunity in between this and Where Angels Fear to Tread. And, of course, all of Tiny Tina's DLC is basically one giant tearjerker. Goes to show how good the writing for this game is that even after playing it about a dozen times I still get emotional. Now that Anthony Burch is long gone, I really hope Gearbox doesn't drop the ball on Borderlands 3.

 

Main reason why I personally hated the pre-sequel. It took what was a great story and turned some of the most important aspects, especially regarding Jack, into what I consider complete garbage. BL2 did everything and told me everything that I needed/wanted to know, not too much and not too little. I hope they can follow it up with something better than the pre-sequel.

As much as it's a step down from Borderlands 2, I didn't hate The Pre-Sequel. It definitely felt supplemental/unnecessary (as did Tales from the Borderlands, but at least that story was pretty damn good). I know the whole premise of it was What happened to Jack's face? and How did Jack become so evil?, which could've all been covered in a DLC instead of an entire game. Story aside, I wish the map designs were a little better (part of what I love about Borderlands 2 is that I can keep returning to places like the Bloodshot Stronghold and Lynchwood and have a blast every time, which I felt was missing in the Pre-Sequel), but least it gave us such gems as Pickle, Janey Springs, and Felicity. Also, low-grav, cryo, and laser weapons were just plain cool.

 

Definitely agree with the map designs. The replayability of BL2 is because everywhere in that game is an absolute blast. My favorite ones are definitely Bloodshot Stronghold like you said, the journey to the Bunker which I can't recall the name, and even though it's pretty early on I really enjoyed the Firehawk one too. But then, I really liked going to get Bloodwing too. Dammit, I'm too biased when it comes to BL2. I think it's just a perfect game. That probably fueled a bit of my dislike for the pre-sequel I'm sure as well. But I cannot wait for BL3 information. As far as I've seen, the only thing we've gotten about it is Randy showing off the game engine at some conference and he was showcasing some NPC models from BL3. That's all though. E3 deliver me BL3 news plz!

 

So apparently DLC is like bad mkay, but Nintendo adding a hard mode and a step tracker for your map and charging you for it is just fine. Piss off, Nintendo fanboys

Like look at this and tell me you would be totally fine with being charged for some of it. There have been hoards of people over the years who have thrown total tantrums about other games charging for story/map pack DLC but charging for things most other games would give you in a patch or update for free? It's cool/free pass.

 

Honestly, this is just another strike in the wall of why I hate Nintendo fanboys, a long standing personal vendetta that's hard to explain without sounding like I'm a weirdo.
