the scary part is i still need to play horizon + persona 5 in a couple weeks.

 

do i need to have played any other yakuza game to enjoy yakuza 0? i should be getting a ps4 in the next few weeks and thats a game id be interested in getting down the road

 

that's what i understand, my main issue was that i thought it didnt look good and the combat felt clunky, but apparently the issue with the ps3 port are its framerate issues which might have had something to do with it. also felt the combat wore thin pretty early on

 

I think my next single player game might be a telltale game.

I still have to finish TWAU or start up Back To The Future.

 

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is real good. great atmosphere, i'm liking the story, and my god is it a pretty game. but, some of the gameplay elements like vision are completely unexplained, which takes the game from enjoyably nonlinear to just doesn't tell you its mechanics.

also, gotta be real, whose idea was the murdered miner sequence? that shit felt beyond out of place. such a weird shift from puzzle light walking sim to, like, generic Slender horror with, again, unexplained mechanics.

 

Try it again on something else if you get the chance. I think that game looks fantastic and has one of the best, most fluid combat systems ever. Also it's batshit crazy if you enjoy that sort of thing.

 

Yeah I don't like those kind of action games at all, never did, but for what those games are the mechanics are objectively perfect

 

I'm up to 5 GOTY games now lol. Resi 7, Yakuza, Horizon, Zelda and Nier. Once I get back to Nioh that will probably join them. What a year it's been so far.

Nope. It's a prequel, you can start with it. Playing the others and you will see some easter eggs and stuff for long time fans but no you can start with it.

 

Yeah once I wrap up Nioh, and Horizon I'll probably start Nier, and Yakuza 0.

So in a year.

Plus I still have Dishonored 2.

Fuck the wolves in Kona, not only did three of them eat me alive but one broke into a house I was searching and shit me up... The game however despite a few flaws is relatively good.

 

I sunk 100+ hours into the first one. I imagine the sequel won't be any less.

 

Never played the first, but definitely looking forward to 2.

Still sorta perplexes me that Sony pretty much abandoned the Vita. Really cool piece of hardware they had there, but just didn't get the support it deserved I don't think.

 

I got a Vita when it came out because I love handhelds. Think I played it for like a week because I could never find games I'd like for it.

 

At least Nintendo tried for awhile with the WiiU. Just nobody wanted it.
