well looks like my ps3 is dead for sure now, with p5 coming out soon i think ill be getting a ps4 instead of a switch with my tax returns and just pick up breathe of the wild for wii u (though my gamepad is broke)

 

We should probably be doing a part 2 to this thread sometime soon eh?

Resident Evil 7 is finished, brilliant game.

 

I'm not normally one to care about achievements, but i'm pretty close to 100% on Stardew Valley. Does anyone know how to unlock achievements you've completed, but weren't given credit for?

I finished catching every fish (after an embarrassing amount of hours put in), but the achievement didn't unlock.

 

That's a bug I guess, you're probably screwed. Occasionnaly achievements trigger late because of some connection issues, so maybe you're in luck.

 

Hey, I happen to be sort of an expert in the area of unlocking achievements.

Go into the achievements app with the game open and make sure the completion bar is full for the achievement you are looking for. (The bar should be completely blue.) If it is, you satisfied the requirement for the achievement and it is in the "done unlocking" phase which could take anywhere from an hour to a month.

Things you can do to try and speed it up:
-Hard Reset the Xbox
-Log completely out of the game(Xbox button, start and then quit) and then log back in.
-Try fulfilling the requirements for the achievement again.

I've definitely fulfilled the requirements. The game even gave me a reward for doing so in game, but the achievement didn't unlock. Tried the hard reset, and quitting the game. Catching every fish took me at least 72 hours, so I don't think I'm up for doing that again anytime soon.

I suppose I'll have to get a hold of customer service. It seems kinda silly to do so for something so trivial, but I put in a lot of time into getting that achievement, and I will have satisfaction damn it, haha.

That's another thing. The bar doesn't function properly for this game as far as I can tell. Progress towards achievements doesn't seem to be tracked, it's an all or nothing deal.

Looking around online indicates to me that this isn't an isolated issue. The game probably needs patching or something.

 

Stardew Valley on Xbox is pretty buggy. Both my kids spawned in walls and then went through the growing up sequences in random order. At least they fixed the save game crashes.

One of my kids ran through their bedroom wall, through my room, straight off into the abyss of darkness on the other side of my room, and completely offscreen. My little Damien spawned back the next day though.
