I hate the powers stuff so soo bad. It makes the gameplay an un fun spammy bullshit mess

Destiny multi was the same shit. I guess almost all fps now feel like that now and I hate it

AGDQ is live! They're currently running Zelda OOT: 3D Games Done Quick

The Yetee as usual, has some pretty great (cheap) shirts for sale and they give $4 from every sale to the GDQ cause which happens to be the Prevent Cancer foundation. The Yetee

I'm probably gonna snag that dark souls 3 tee

Haven't really enjoyed a Battlefield game since BC2. Used to be my favorite FPS series, but I feel like outside of a cutting edge engine the games themselves are stagnant. Not a lot of innovation there.

battlefield is one of the most innovative from the beginning so maybe if you wanna compare it to itself you could almost make that argument but really it's a strange argument considering the depth of the game with respect to other shooters

idk what other fps on the market are innovating honestly. Overwatch is TF2. Halo Gears and COD persist, Titanfall is later COD. Titanfall seems like maybe it qualifies as innovative

I liked 3 well enough, but not nearly as much as BC2. BF4 was redundant after 3. BF1 is a return to form though and the dynamics of the multiplayer feel more like Bad Company than 3 or 4. Also, the WW1 tech feels novel. At least that is what I think.

Bad Company 2 was my absolute favorite shooter of all time.

Battlefield 1 is one of the best shooters of all time

I can't say much about BF1, but I did not enjoy at all of what I played of the beta... good looking game that felt super clunky.

Map design felt empty as well.

the maps of BF1 are by and large among the very best of the series fortunately

I do not enjoy the map they chose for the beta much either

I encourage those who liked 1942, 2, or Bad Company 2 to play BF1.

Also BF2 is my favorite of the series. With BC2 right behind it.

I'll check 1 out at some point like I typically do, with deep discounts.

Judging a game off what you saw in beta is disingenuous

And I'm saying my impressions were formed from a beta.. so no, not really?

Most betas are glorified demos nowadays, and those that aren't are typically testing for server purposes. Very little if anything is changed between beta and launch.

thankfully bf1 plays really smooth. the beta was a real mess. I get being worried bc it almost dissuaded me too

you can't imagine how much I hated BF3s beta and then the game when it finally released

I'm just saying I'm not gonna put as much stock in someone's opinion who has only played beta vs people who have played the actual game, extensively at that

BF1 is definitely my favorite entry in the series. I loved that they abandoned the modern/futuristic trend of the industry and went for something that hasn't been done much, especially on their scale.

I haven't played in a couple weeks because of the all the other games I'm playing, but didn't someone mention earlier they added a free map in a downed zeppelin? Need to play it!

I'm certainly not knocking people for enjoying it. Maybe Battlefield just isn't my bag anymore, preferences change.

I actually thought BF3 was ok, framerate dips aside. But BF4 lost me, probably in part due to that woeful, woeful launch. I've found that if a game has a terrible launch I'm way less willing to give future entrees in the series a chance until it's readily apparent it won't happen again.

There is a reason I still haven't played Halo 5.

I think a big catalyst of my loss enjoyment in the series was the removal of team mic chat, felt a lot more less Teamy/strategic at that point.

Bad Company 2 was unreal. The storyline had characters I actually cared for and found entertaining, and the gameplay was top notch. It was unfortunately overshadowed by COD in it's prime days. Not the case these days thankfully.

I'll add you but I don't play games online so not sure if that matters or not just a fair warning.
