Battlefield 1 is the only other game I have. It rules. Graphics quality on my tv is insane, I think i'm gonna gonna have eye damage.

As someone who loved DOOM, BF1 absolutely is a better game. I'd also say Titanfall 2 is better, or on par.

DOOM has the best single player campaign of the last decade

I'll fight to the death over this!

TF 2 was really great too.

Still have to play BF1, but what I played of the beta I didn't like at all.

 

In retrospect I should have added BF1 to the GOTY category, but no one ended up nominating it.

Next year I'll just put together a general nominations list and then open it up to user nominations. Didn't want the GOTY category being too stacked since it was a ranked deal though.

Could also probably come up with categories as a group next year and get started earlier on it. Was fun putting it together.

 

Got a PS4 for Christmas, got Uncharted 4 and Overwatch, but really spent the holiday buying and playing a shit ton of 'walking simulators' on the PSN Store.

Gone Home, Dear Esther, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, and Firewatch.

Any other 'walking' fans out there? Other titles you'd recommend?

but really the only games on the same plane for me would be Halo 2, Half-life 2 and COD 4

I couldn't get past mission 2, I was so bored.



But really, I need to try it again.

I got throught the first 4 or 5 missions in Doom and got stuck/frustrated/bored and haven't gone back. That's more on me though. I mostly enjoyed what i played.

I'd say finish 4 since you are already there.

Not sure how much you'll enjoy previous entries after playing the most fleshed out one. UC2 should still be good, can't speak for 1 or 3 though.

 

Well it's only 3 games. I didn't want to finish AC1 tho admittedly lol

 

I still need to finish U3 and then get to U4, but like Doom, too bored.

 

uncharted 1 is a little rough now, 2 is still great, 3 is okay but the big cruise ship set piece is worth the price of admision by itself.

 

3 is rough in terms of story, I never finished it.
