Just replayed Dead Space, easily one of my favorite games ever.

What are some other great horror video games? I've played DS 1 and 2 but I'm pretty ignorant to the genre

 

Silent Hill 1,2,3....not sure how well they've aged but at the time they were horrifying.

You didn't like The Room? Also I think they've aged well but I have so many nostalgic ties I'm a bit bias.

 

those ghosts you couldn't kill in SH4 were annoying, and terrifying. Rest of the game was great though, especially the apartment bits

 

I like 2 the most, but 4 is the scariest. That game destroyed me.

(Also, it's the only one I haven't played somewhat recently since they didn't remaster it or put it on psn or anything, so it's possible I'm remembering it scarier than it is, which I'm fine with)

 

The automatron DLC in Fallout 4 is p cool. The weapon crafting system is my fav part of the game so applying that to making robots is great.

 

Ended up buying Fatal Frame since it was on sale. But I definitely want to get into the Silent Hill games

Yep. Already looking at a new 4k TV and PS4 Pro.

 

Apparently Dishonored 2 performance is horrible.

 

Bought Infinite Warfare/Modern Warfare bundle because...sometimes I just want to spend money. Anyways playing the two multiplayer games it was clear why I stopped buying CoD games, and why I fell in love with them 9 years ago.

Modern Warfare is still fun as hell. Such a slower pace, feels more tactical, some maps are great like Overgrowth. Less killstreaks means less chaos.

Infinite Warfare mp is chaotic, fast paced and generic. Sucks.

 

I can't get excited for anything but what Nintendo is doing.

I want to be excited for everything else happening, but Nintendo is dominating my desire to play.

I've been very excited about planet coaster, a lot of the same devs from the RCT series.

 

Should I grab a PS4 during Black Friday or is it worth it to wait for the 4.5 ?

 

I would not get a regular PS4 now

 

I havent ran into anything besides the menus working kind of slow

It's been fun so far but I'm barely in to the second mission

 

I'm gonna buy it the Tuesday before Thanksgiving lol.

 

The "4.5" came out today. I am thinking about getting one, but only if I get a 4K tv on black friday. Otherwise, I'm fine with current PS4.

 

Yeah, I only played the first two but the menus are a bit slow and it got frame-y on the little intro boat ride into the mission but during actual gameplay it was pretty stable.

It's pretty great so far, picked Emily and her power set is super fun for stealth. There's still a ton of great little world building touches and the second level was the sort of huge, open, expansive area I loved to explore in the first game. It's more Dishonored and that's exactly what I wanted.

i chose emily as well. could you choose to play through the first game without powers?

 

No, though there was a trophy/achievement for not purchasing any powers (aka only using the level 1 Blink). You were given Blink with no option to reject it like in two, and IIRC there were occasions where the only way to progress was to Blink somewhere.

 

I'm buying a 43" 4K TV at Best Buy tomorrow, and I'm real excited. I'll get the PS4 Pro after Christmas probably.
