Anybody playing Modern Warfare Remastered? How is the online multiplayer?

 

It's great. Very good. Just as good as it was back in the day.

 

Precisely what I wanted to hear. Crazy to me
that two of my absolute favorite games of all time (Skyrim and MW) came out with remastered versions within two weeks of each other. Absolutely cannot wait to start playing MW again.

 

The IW multiplayer is the worst mp I've ever played, though.

 

Lol yeah I saw your other post. I really wasn't expecting much but that's still disappointing to hear. Black Ops 3 was a (very minor) upgrade from previous games so I was hoping that trend would continue.

 

You're also going to be looking at different devs on these CODs now. Infinity Ward knocked it out of the park with MW/MW2 (and those minds are behind Titanfall) but I think Treyarch's run is the best COD.

Doing all of the collectibles in Rise of the Tomb Raider is so damn daunting.

 

Finally finished RE 4. So good.

Continuing my two games at a time schedule to get rid of my backlog. So after beating that, and Bioshock remaster I'm gonna start RotTR/Fallout 4 DLC. Liking the autamotron DLC so far.

 

What difficulty did you play it on? I thought the game was so hard (in a good way) on normal.

 

RE 4? I think the normal mode. Honestly after playing REmake it was a breeze. Only a few sections gave me trouble.

 

Yeah. I think I never really got use to having to stand still and shoot things, ha. The very first village attack was insane, RE games always start with their hardest sections for me, it took me so long to cross the damn streets in RE2 the first time I played it, haha.

 

CoDMWR is so good. They've remastered it well, only complaint is some of the lag I've been getting but hopefully they're allowed to fine tune it.

 

Played Firewatch finally this morning. Really liked it at first but was kind of meh by the end. As a big hiker I kind of liked how well it captured the "feel" of hiking on a trail lol, I don't think any other game has really done that. Thought the characters had really really good voice acting, but in the end just wasn't too invested in their stories.

 

Man I loved the characters stories that's what made the game for me

 

I was much more interested in Henry than Delilah I guess. But the game got most of Henry's story out of the way in the first 20 minutes or so and then focused on building their relationship and learning more about Delilah. It was well done I guess I just wanted...more? I'm not sure what was missing for me. I'm also not sure if I missed something, but the reveal about it being the dad the whole time didn't really work for me. I saw the note that he was using the research group's equipment to do all the spying, but who was that research group in the first place? Why didn't Delilah know they were there?

 

I definitely felt the same way as you and asked the same questions after beating it but over time thinking about it and some of its ambiguity has made it more charming to me. I know a lot of the story decisions were intentional. I'm typically a person that doesn't pick up on subtlety regarding story and like it spoon-fed to me but something about the execution of Firewatch has really stuck with me.

 

I'm really hoping we get that alleged RE 2 remake soon. I'm super hyped for 7 now though after playing 1 & 4.

 

I haven't played more than 30 minutes of RE4 since I played it on the GCN and I remember getting stuck fighting some monks in some castle. I quit because of that I think. It's a good game but I can't go back to a pre-Gears 3rd person shooter.

 

RE4 is my favorite game of all time. Still think it holds up great, for me it has the most purely fun gameplay of all time. The headshots are so satisfying.

 

this is pointless stuff but I just learned that a top ranked street fighter player is from my hometown.

that makes me happy.
