It was bad enough to put me off the game for the most part, the AI gets you in a submission hold it's game over.

 

My brother lost his first match in his create a superstar thingy thanks to a submission so he goes and just does a random match and he proceeds to lose on another submission. It was sad to watch.

 

I think when it comes down to upgrading from the wii, it's all a question of software.
You're going to hear arguments for both Xbone and PS4, and at the end of the day it's the games that matter.

For me, the Uncharted series, Last Guardian, and really the diversity in the indie games is what pulled me in.

In terms of casual games, I definitely suggest NMS, Rocket League, and maybe even Plants vs Zombies 2. All these games can be played at your leisure, and only require a time investment if you want to master them.

 

I agree with heartbeatsbrain in that it really just boils down to what type of games you want to play. I have been a diehard Xbox fan for years but just recently bought a PS4 in order to play the exclusives. The Xbox is used for everything (games, Netflix, movies, etc.), while the PS4 is just there to play the next game on the list. The exclusivity is getting better, especially with the possibility of cross platform play (but nobody is holding their breath) and certain games crossing over and losing their exclusivity (Dead Rising for example). Personally, I think exclusivity is ridiculous but that is a conversation for another day.

I honestly think the new Prey will have the same impact that the first Bioshock did years ago. The guys at GameInformer have even called it a cross between Bioshock and Dishonored. On top of that, one of the developers from Bioshock Infinite is involved in it. Wins across the board for me!

 

That's odd wonder who the user base for that would be? FFXIV/ESO players?

 

No idea, but I might buy it lol. If I got good with it, I could be unstoppable in FPS. I used to be good in FPS in 2004 with Halo 1 on pc.

oh i know it was a zombie mode but just the idea of this is really crazy.

 

They have to have something crazy to bring people in lol.

 

I got a PS4 this past Christmas and I've been in love with it ever since, I can't fairly say "worthwhile purchase" since I didn't pay for it myself, but I've gotten so much use out of it. I don't have a smart TV either so having Netflix available through PS4 is huge too.

holy shit, I'd consider buying this just for Overwatch.

I finally watched that Dead Rising 4 trailer and it just feels really weird. It doesn't help that they got a new voice actor for Frank but also the weapon combos just got really silly. I was eh on Dead Rising 3 weapon combo selection but now they are bringing in like exo skeletons and stuff is just boo.

 

Thunder Guard Zarya needs to be a skin in Overwatch.
