I have No Man's Sky and played it for about 3 hours last night ama

 

I haven't played those two, but I see your point. Haven't seen reviews for Batman yet, are they unfavorable from sites?

 

if you can, wait for the day 1 patch. fixes a lot of things that will probably start irking you once the initial sheen wears off. :)

 

Mixed. Game of Thrones was that way too. TellTale games are certainly getting stale for me but objectively I don't find them worse than their acclaimed games.

The only thing in AC:Syndicate that really bothers me is that everyone of Jacob's outfits outside of the default has a top hat. So I haven't changed it.

 

Not if you dress him up as Ezio or Edward Kenway! (They're free via ubisoft club app - should be easy to get to via the menu). Though I personally never like using a different Assassin's outfit.

 

I haven't seen the Edward Kenway one. We'll see if I care enough to get this ubisoft club stuff. Probably not though.

Edit: Didn't realize Edward Kenway was the guy from AC:Black Flag. Def pass.

Borrowed my friends PS4 over the summer and smashed through three games in about 2 weeks.

Uncharted 4 is by far the best in the series. I loved the first three, but after the Last of Us I never picked up Uncharted again. U4 has the best graphics I've ever seen and runs so smoothly. Still felt like an action, but it was clear that they learned a lot from the positive response from the Last of Us' story. The story in U4 was more fleshed out than previous games and I think it wrapped up the series quite well. The multiplayer is way better than the previous ones too. However I still enjoy the Last of Us MP more.

Firewatch was a decent game, only took about 3 hours to beat it. I liked the voice acting and the quick pace and mystery surrounding the characters. Really reminded me of Gone Home.

The last one that I beat was Until Dawn. I really enjoyed this. It owned the whole stereotypical teenage horror movie feel. It had a lot of cheap "scary" parts that make you jump because something pops up on screen with a loud noise. I thought the story was fun to uncover and I really liked how decisions actually feel like they have a consequence (unlike most TellTale kinds of games). But I was pretty pissed that because of two "small" mistakes at the very end two of my characters were killed. Without those mistakes I would have had 4 survivors out of 7.

Now that I smashed on those games I think I'm good on my PS4 exclusives and can go back to my Xbone. After playing them I'm even more of a fan of the Xbone because I fucking hate the PS controllers. They are too small and I get cramps in my hands after prolonged gaming.

 

Also just the number of collectiables in AC:Syndicate is fucking assassinine! When I went to the WWI section and there were 40 chests just there I was like "You gotta be shitting me." There's close to 700 collectibles in all.

 

That's toned down from Unity. Unity had like 50,000 collectibles.

 

I got used to the ps4 controller fast after using Xbox controllers from 2003-2013. I was lucky I guess haha.

I've gone back and used my 360 controller on PC and I could not readjust back to it.

 

Collectibles do nothing for me anymore, last game that I enjoyed collecting em was Crackdown.

 

Both controllers are fine to me, I do like that the one controller is more weighty.

Edit: The light bar is also pretty silly on the PS4 controllers, super gimmicky and consumes more battery life needlessly.

 

I never bought the game but I loved collecting those orbs in the demo. Ha.

 

Next month? Does that mean every episode will be out by then?

 

I remember getting all the collectibles in far cry 4 and being pissed that I didn't get an achievement. Guess I should have looked at the list more carefully. Either way, I haven't gone out of my way to get them since then.

 

I actually don't mind the collectibles in AC syndicate cause compared to other Ubisoft games it's tame LOL. The last time I really cared about collectibles was in sleeping dogs

Also I can't wait to get the One S controller, cause of the padding in the back. Definitely am more comfortable with Xbox controllers than literally any other cause of carpal tunnel. ;-;

 

Well the light bar will actually be used once PS:VR comes out.
