So...I called Xbox Support because Hyper Light Drifter apparently has a 25% discount that wasn't active for the first...four hours the game was live. So I paid full price, $19.99.

They basically said the only thing they could do was credit me a full refund and then I rebuy the game.


So they credited me. I got the money. And I still have the game.....I don't think they ever took away my access.


So....I got it for free?

Abzu comes out today, but I just don't know if I can tear myself away from Hyper Light Drifter.

Hyper Light Drifter is what I'm playing now. Also got Abzû, bought the digital preorder for No Man's Sky, and got Headlander after @DeviantRogue posted that video this morning.

 

Yeah my backlog just keeps getting longer and longer.

 

So interested in Headlander, will check out later this year. Let me know your thoughts when you start.

 

Well looks like the lead roles for The Division are official. Pretty excited.

 

Didn't know Layers of Fear had dlc coming out. Really excited to play it, I think about the wonderful time I had with the base game often.

 

I want the new Xbox One S so bad. Too bad I don't have a spare $400 to drop on it!

 

i'm just gonna get the 500GB one ($299), since i already have a 2TB external hard drive. so i can trade in my current One and the S should be about half price. just gotta wait a little longer.

 

Those getting the One S are you guys using 4K TVs? Seems pretty pointless to get outside of that (Or if you haven't owned a One yet of course)

Slimmer model is nice, but I wouldn't upgrade just for that.

Microsoft Xbox One S review

 

Was reading this review, but thanks for implying I know nothing.

Edit: No doubt it's a better piece of hardware, but it doesn't seem like such a massive improvement to be worthy of upgrading for outside of 4K (That's what the Scorpios role after all) just wondering the practicality of it outside of those who don't own a Xbone already.

 

Considering you mentioned only 4K and being slimmer as if they were the only things, when there's a lot more to it than that, it definitely came across that way. That's why I linked the eurogamer article. I have an incredibly small room, my current One just takes up too much space. And the external power supply is irritating as heck.

I might buy a Scorpio next year if and only if Halo gets back on track.
