ok, I need to look into this game I guess.

 

I don't know? I think the trailer didn't promise strong mechanics. It promised an intriguing story, which I think is still very plausible even if the mechanics are weak.

Again, I haven't tried the preview so I dunno how it fairs. But I just think people building up a trailer in their minds as the next Bioshock and then disappointed when the Early Access release doesn't meet those lofty expectations is unfair. But given their track record, there is cause for worry hahah

 

I personally loved Contrast and thought it was a cool concept with using the shadows to progress. After some more time with We Happy Few the best way to describe it is a mix of the art style of Bioshock/Contrast with the gameplay of Bioshock and survival games like 7 Days to Die. The survival aspect is going to lose a lot of people but it is a great game once you get going.

In regards to the story, there will be one and they even state when you load the game up, that they left it out until the final product comes out so people can get used to the mechanics of the game.

 

Played the first 30 minutes of spacechem, got to the double-bonding stage of the tutorial and said fuck that. Realized how convoluted that game was going to be, would be fun to see advanced setups.

 

@DarkHotline I'm playing REmake, and had a question. I could just look it up, but what does the dog collar key take me? Where should I start first?

I'm low on ammo so don't want to be wandering all over the mansion without a clear path lol.

Downloaded Furi earlier and thought it was pretty fun although a little frustrating

 

The boss fights seemed overly long and repetitious, but the soundtrack and aesthetic seem pretty great.

 

Yeah they are pretty long, but I don't really mind it since it seems like that's really al the game consists of. I do love the sou track and aesthetic a lot though

 

Got called a smurf in CS today, most flattering thing anyone's called me in a good while.

26.6 hours played of CS so far this week. I'm having a good time, can't help but think I should be ranked a bit higher than Silver 1 given I'm consistently top fragging. Just had back to back games with a score of 100+.

Oh well the cream rises to the top.

 

So I finished making my PC, super happy with it minus some cable management problems. First game I bought and started playing on it was INSIDE. From the art style to the creativity to the gameplay to the sound design, this is a perfect 10/10 game so far. I also have witcher 3 downloading so I'm stoked to see what this PC can do once that's done.

 

It's funny you use this example because 1) that was the first series of his that I watched and 2) because I was on the fence about that game and after watching his playthrough I decided I'd hate it and it wasn't for me.

I've loved quite a few of his playthroughs recently

Nah, WAY too much shooting and gunplay for me.

 

Really? I felt it could've used more. Way more. That game was a joy to play.

 

Not good/fan of shooters except for a select few. I'm really really fucking bad at them. Same reason I won't play Uncharted.

 

fwiw, Uncharted 4 has lock on now, so if that's your reason, please don't miss that game.

 

Oh I watched playthroughs for all 4 and definitely thought the story was cool but gameplay definitely would've frustrated me and stress me out

oh man, not a lot of choice for you out there nowadays, huh?

 

Uncharted 4 is super stress free shooting wise. As for the other three....random difficulty spikes/bullet sponges etc.

 

I'm a VERY casual gamer as it is but I have enough of a backlog but yeah there haven't been too many games I've been interested in this year besides Firewatch, The Witness, and Batman. Mainly indie games though
