When I played Doom back in October and November, it was amazing!!!

 

Not one of the games that I was saying I need to buy because it's finally $20 but I finally bough Diablo 3 last night. I only played maybe an hour because I had school work to do and my friend I was gonna play it with got off, but what I did play was very fun.

Steam released Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, one of my favorite games as a kid. Too bad I have a Mac.

I do actually still have the physical CD though.

 

Free with PSN is poop next month.

 

I'm cool with Zombi but they need a really good month to catch up with xbox

 

I thought it would be Binding of Isaac since the new game will be out in a few weeks.

 

Zombi is kinda cool though, I've wanted to try it and now I don't have to pay $20 to do so.

 

They've done that already though, unless you're talking about Afterbirth.

 

Did they do Rebirth? Maybe that is when I got it. lol. Still, best game evar.

They stated that the GPU is twice as powerful as standard PS4 and much faster. They did not say exactly how fast but that is was running at a higher clock speed while being much smaller than the original.

It will have a 4k blu ray player and will upscale games that are not natively 4k.

Also there was talk of some sort of VR lounge for the media player app which is supposed to be getting a substantial upgrade.

It was stated plainly and with no room for interpretation that there are developers that already have development kits for the PS4K and that they are making games that will directly target and take advantage of the higher specs of the PS4K. It was also stated that these games will in fact work for the PS4 but with considerable sacrifices made to performance."

Xbox One will probably have the same type of thing release. I guess we have 3 year generations this time.

 

There is no way I'm paying $500 for a new PS4.

 

I will if Gamestop or somebody has a "trade in your PS4 for $200 off a new PS4k" I will.

 

No way I'm buying a new PS4 unless mine goes wrong. The upgrade isn't worth it especially as I don't have a 4K TV.

 

It's for more than 4k, though. 2x the PS4 power is nowhere enough for 4k gaming other than indie games. No triple A games will run at 4k, that's for sure.

I'm just worried about the performance of some games. I don't want my games running at 15 frames per second or worse :(

Honestly, Sony is fucking up here with this. Cool that they're offering a more powerful version but most of the people who own a PS4 already is not going to buy this. Beyond that, I'm worried that they're going to try force people to buy it by making high profile games exclusive to it. They're pulling a PS3 launch all over again.

 

If you want to stay sane I'd keep it that way hahah

 

Doubt it, there won't be many exclusives and Microsoft will do the same. It's just how consoles are going to evolve now. Incremental backward compatible builds.

 

just got Crimzon Clover. mmmmm such a tasty bullet hell. shmups done wrong are atrocities, but done right, they're delightful.

 

Posted what will more than likely be my last post on AP in the last VG thread. Fuck. Those threads were my personal favorites, I just loved geeking out about games with super cool people in them. I hope everyone from them comes in here and keep it going.
