I for once respect DICE for their stance on it, modern warfare is really played out and it's time to do something new. Pretty funny when you think about how BF is going in a new direction and COD is stuck in the same path as always, while trotting out a shinier version of what started the whole trend as an incentive to buy it.

 

@lightning13 I'm about to finish up Thanatos mastery and now I'm thinking of just doing all the assassins. I'm thinking ether Fenrir or Awilix next.

 

D.Va is fun. Kind of weird that she's only a tank like half the time, though.

I just finished a game of Conquest in Smite where it went a hour and 10 minutes. I finished with decent stats of 17/7/15 but I was so happy just to end that game.

 

She's really strong 1 on 1 in close range

 

I don't know why I care about my stats on a game I don't own yet, but coming into a game seconds before my team loses is kind of like wtf.

 

Man the last time I played this many hours straight of a multiplayer game it would have had to have been Mass Effect 3 and that was just because i had a group of friends obsessed with it. It's honestly everything I could want in a multiplayer shooter.

Now that I've tried all the heros a bit I'm mainly sticking to Reaper, Tracer, Roadhog, Lucio

 

Been playing Overwatch since the early access beta started. It's fun but I doubt I'll be buying it right away.

Some of the characters are too unbalanced and there's no real progression system. Sure you can level up but that gets slower and slower, and it seems there's no rewards for playing a lot with a specific character which is weird. I like playing as Reaper but keep getting skins and voice lines for characters I never play. It's just dumb.

Also it matchmakes you with people around your level but that's not as much an indicator of how good you are as it is how many hours you've sunk into it.

 

Got Battlefield 4 cause I couldn't pass up premium for 15 quid. Jumped straight into mp without knowing any of the buttons. Prob not the best idea.

 

Every character is OP in certain situations. It's how it's balanced. Each one has a counter.

 

Keep in mind there will be competitive mode in the final game, with real matchmaking and ranks.

 

this is like the only thing I wanted. Glad to hear it's happening.

 

They removed it for the open beta to tweak it a bit more, I think they said it wouldn't be in at launch but added shortly afterward.

 

I just discovered the Overwatch trailer with the two little kids in the Overwatch museum and Winston and Tracer fighting Reaper and Widowmaker.

It made me want to start playing immediately.

 

I knew there was competitive coming but is there a system where you can get xp with each character? A system where I can unlock stuff for Reaper if I play with him more than anyone else? I'm not a fan of the pot luck thing.

 

Well the point of the game is to use multiple heroes, sticking with one can be to the detriment of the team.

Just had a great game as Mercy in defence.

 

Eh, maybe knowing a hero per class. It's pretty common to main a specific character or two in class based games.

 

I played some Overwatch. It was fun, but I don't think I'll be buying it. I don't play much multiplayer, so I don't think an mp only game is good for me.

 

what about COD and BF? do you prefer the campaigns on those?

 

I just play the campaign and co-op and COD and don't really touch the MP. In BF, I would like to play the MP, but I think I only have like 8 hours in BF4 mp since 2013 lol.

I just don't play much competitive MP.

 

yeah i like mei, soldier 76, mercy. i'm not sure which tank to stick with tho.

 

MP is all I play nowadays. Don't have time for campaigns.

 

I'm Pharah, Mercy and Reinhardt as my three go to's. Just got my first play of the game with Reinhardt and voted for best defence there.
