Braid and Ori and the Blind Forest both have great soundtracks. I listen to those quite a bit while working.
Ahhhh GW2! I still haven't purchased the Heart of Thorns expansion. GW2 was my first MMORPG. On my first account I have 5 characters all at the original level cap (level 80).
I've been loving the soundtracks for Firewatch and Gone Home lately and damn I really love Chris Remo's work.
Lots of great songs in here Only adding 1 cuz it's the greatest song ever (I know I give everything hyperbole but this time I mean it)
Did you go to the Distant Worlds concert when it was in Dallas? It changed my life and I'm going to the Houston one this year, so excited.
I could post songs all day. I'm not sure if I can name an absolute favorite original song from a a game, but if I had to choose it might be Welcome To Fyrestone.... and I've been gaming since 1991. I typically have these full albums on my iPod so I can listen to whenever I want without having to queue up Youtube(need to get them on my phone). I get in my really nostalgic "wanting to listen to videogame music" moods quite often. May go back and list some tunes from older games if I get the time, though I'm sure we've all heard all them before anyway. Borderlands - Welcome To Fyrestone Chrono Cross - Shadow Forest Skyrim - From Past To Present (probably my favorite OST of all time. Jeremy Seoul is a genius. The last song on the soundtrack is a 42 minute track that is just the subtle ambient noises, wind, and slight musical arrangement that you hear around the world of Skyrim. One of the most relaxing things I've ever heard. [EDIT] Here it is Skyrim Atmospheres Fallout 3 - Wandering The Wastes FInal Fantasy X - Travel Agency Final Fantasy XIII - The Archylte Steppe Metroid Prime - Phendrana Drifts Assassins Creed 2 - Home In Florence Chrono Cross - Dream Of The Shore Near Another World Grand Theft Auto III - Head Radio Full Radio Station 23mins
Kingdom Hearts 1 and Persona 4 are big favs of mine edit: oh also pretty much all 3 Mass Effect games were great
I like walking to work and listening to the Persona 4 soundtrack because it feels like i'm in the game
